Can you get by living in Buenos Aires not speaking Spanish and only English?

Sure I have ran into more people that don't speak English than do. What I mean is you can easily navigate around and get by around town, order in restaurants. Definitely your quality of the trip will be better if you can learn some Spanish but I meant that you can easily get by. Just my...

Politics Changing course: How Javier Milei will transform Argentina’s foreign policy - Aljazeera

Agreed. There is enough to worry about in Argentina vs. getting involved in that mess. He should totally focus on getting inflation in the single digits. ONCE he does that then he can go off and worry about the rest of the world. Argentines are starving in the streets.

Trip Reports A concise summary of a four-day trip to Buenos Aires

Wow!! What great infomation. That must have taken a ton of time to put together! I agree the coffee for the most part sucks here. You have to really go around and look. I found some at Cafe Martinez but yeah lots of the coffee beans are torrado which are illegal in most civilized countries!

    Western Union

I just sent myself $100 US worth of pesos. I got 124,800 pesos and I paid $5.99 fee so it cost $105.99 for those pesos. WU always charges me $5.99 to send $100 US or $8.99 to send $200 US but lately sometimes a whacky amount comes up first to send $200 like $17.99 and then I log out and log...

Trip Reports Day trip to Colonia worth it?

I agree! I took the Buquebus to Colonia and then took a bus to Montevideo. One thing I wasn't aware is Uruguay is very expensive!!! Be prepared for the sticker shock. Restaurants are as expensive or more than the USA. They took off IVA tax off the bill and I still paid almost $40 USD for...

Can you get by living in Buenos Aires not speaking Spanish and only English?

Nah you can get by here without speaking Spanish. I met up with several tourists and none of them could speak a word of Spanish and all manage to get by. Uber works well and many restaurants in Palermo staff speaks English or even if they don't you can get by and many have English menus or you...

Other possible towns in Argentina for digital nomad to live that doesn't have issues?

I heard about Medellin and some backlash from gringos and also a bunch of murders of gringos looking to hook up. I didn't know that Mexico City had an issue with tourists. I went there earlier this year and didn't notice anything.

Any good recommendation for place to buy a used bike or new bicycle that isn't too expensive in Buenos Aires?

I have rented a few bikes but I'm thinking it's easier to just buy a cheaper used bicycle or not sure how much a new bike costs. Can you expats recommend good places to buy one that won't break the bank? Also, is it safe to lock the bike up and any experiences with bike theft? I figured if...
