My Two Weeks in Buenos Aires - Summary and thoughts

I went to the buffet at restaurant tenedor next to plaza italia. I was solo in my trip so taht's why I didn't go out to all the nice restaurants. I did try to go to the restaurants I mentioned earlier, but yes they needed reservations way in advance. That's why I mostly stuck to the empanadas...

My Two Weeks in Buenos Aires - Summary and thoughts

Ahh ok I see. I was only able to try the steak at buffets. I tried to go to the fancier restaurants like Don Julio or Don Benito, but you need a reservation and they were fully booked for the weekend. Likewise with the Pizza I mostly ate it at bars or buffets. I lived in NYC for some time so...

My Two Weeks in Buenos Aires - Summary and thoughts

very affordable, but a little dangerous and stressful at times. On Tuesday with the protests the whole city was shut down. The breakfast options were pretty limited too. I was expecting something like eggs, bacon, and toast or potatos - similar to what you see in the U.S. but in Argentina it...

My Two Weeks in Buenos Aires - Summary and thoughts

Yes most of the tours I had were very bad, except for the Boca/Recocleta tour. Maybe they set a high bar I am not sure. Regarding the local Argentinian food, I really enjoyed the empanadas the most. There are empanada restaurants in USA and they are pretty close in quality, but the variety of...

Tips for my 2 weeks trip to BA - Apartment recommendations

That's what I thought but I guess they want to watch Penarol clobber a Venezuelan team 5-0. I was in pocitos too, which is like their Palermo or Recoleta. By the way do you have any recommendations for which ATMs to use to withdraw Argentinian pesos? I just looked at my stack of pesos and I...

Tips for my 2 weeks trip to BA - Apartment recommendations

They just show european and argentinian soccer matches there? or if you have a request and they have the channel, they will change the TV? I was in Montevideo when Messi was playing and I asked the bartenders to change the channel but they said no. They wanted to watch their local team...

I see. Thanks. Yea I will look for a tour this Sunday. I thought Colonia was a UNESCO heritage site. Is it really that boring? The only UNESCO heritage sites I have been to were in Greece and Italy and they were pretty cool.

As a side note, how hard is it to get an uber from Palermo to the Ezeiza International Airport in the morning (7 to 8 am)? My friend told me it takes almost an hour since most uber drivers cancel due to the 1 hour distance.

Tips for my 2 weeks trip to BA - Apartment recommendations

I contacted her. She organizes the tours, similar to Viator or Tripadvisor, but she isn't the tour guide. I guess she uses freelancers or other tour companies. Her prices are the same as the ones on viator/tripadvisor. I hope if I go on her tours that it isn't just the same tour guide...
