Who is responsible for the monthly (expensas) on a rental? Landlord or Tenant?

I will definitely share our experiences with finding a guarantor. 1 year prepay seems quite high for me, in the past we have done 6 months initially and 3 months after (in Colombia). I think it boils down to the owner, how they accept payments (outside Argentina to a US account?) and the rental...

New DNI - What's next? How to build credit?

Hello. This post is for my girlfriend who just got her temporary visa (2 Years) and in process to get a physical DNI. Not sure how long that takes but we want to get a head start for her to build credit history. In other countries, sometimes you have to register your identification to the credit...

Who is responsible for the monthly (expensas) on a rental? Landlord or Tenant?

Exactly, furnished initially and get a feel on what areas we like. During this time plan on a non furnished apartment. On our last visit we check out some furniture stores and have an idea on the lead time. We look forward to exploring the city and bookmarking stores we like. Great tip on...

$500 USD/month for electricity? That seems quite high.

Who is responsible for the monthly (expensas) on a rental? Landlord or Tenant?

Are you renting a non furnished apartment? Did you have to register utility bills under your name? or do they remain with the owner of the apartment and you just pay the bill as it comes? I'm wondering if I require a DNI to get internet net services as well.

Yes we are looking for longer term 1 year to start. I notice there are services that you pay if I do not have a quarantia https://hoggax.com/. Not sure if they are reputable but the website seems quite clear on what they offer, even for foreigners. Our options for searching now is AirBnb, the...

Who is responsible for the monthly (expensas) on a rental? Landlord or Tenant?

Thanks for the info and warning. Is the one month fee the term of the contract? or monthly per year? Do you know renewal of contracts dedicate a commission again? I would think commission is a one time thing and not applied for renewals.

Who is responsible for the monthly (expensas) on a rental? Landlord or Tenant?

Thanks for the info. I am trying to prepare myself with real estate agents if they try to pull a fast one. Anything else I should look for when dealing with agents? Is their commission also negotiable?

Who is responsible for the monthly (expensas) on a rental? Landlord or Tenant?

I would expect the rental price would factor the monthly maintenance/expensas to be covered by the landlord, however I am not sure if this is the case here. If the tenant is responsible am I fair to say this can be negotiated and responsible by the landlord? This would be a rental contact of 1...

Advice on buying a new car in Buenos Aires?

Any good new policies by the new president? My local friend said they will be removing some import taxes if you buy stuff out of the country. Not sure if this is true. Something about a $5000 limit? Not sure if this is from traveling (plane) and returning, or importing stuff by shipping.

Advice on buying a new car in Buenos Aires?

I do not live in CABA. I just returned on my first trip of 5 weeks. My plan is to return after I tie up loose ends where I am. I am not sure if CABA is where I want to live as we are considering a little north like Tigre or Nordelta. However you are absolutely right, if we are to be in CABA, no...

Advice on buying a new car in Buenos Aires?

Little bit off topic. I notice a lot of cars have dents all over the car. Even in random places you wouldn't expect dents. Is there a reason it is like this and not fixed? Does insurance claim make it not worth it (increase in rates). This was something very surprising for me. I also notice...
