Newcomer Which neighborhood do you recommend?

Believe it or not Puerto Madero was a dump in the 80s, the renovations started during mid 90s but it wasn't until the beginning of the 2000s that started to develop and becoming the most exclusive area in BA overtime. And yes, it's used for money laundering; no wonder why Cristina Kirchner...

Argentina Could Lead Global Returns in 5 Years, According to Explorador Capital

The foundations of the economy need to be fixed before removing the cepo and let the rate flow freely. When Macri removed the cepo at the beginning of his mandate things went downhill. I wish there was an "anti-cepo" law so future governments can't do this anymore.

Newcomer Which neighborhood do you recommend?

In Soho any house could be turned into a bar anytime so is not a nice place for living long-term.

AFIP and IRS to share financial information with one another starting September 30, 2024

Yes, still really low. They should just bump it up to at least 1000 US$.

AFIP and IRS to share financial information with one another starting September 30, 2024

The article is a bit misleading because the prior limit was round 120,000 pesos so in the end what is saying is that they bumped it up to 400K.

You can't go wrong with Recoleta.

Newcomer Which neighborhood do you recommend?

Yeah in the end Palermo and Recoleta are next to each other so you have great walkability and just a minutes away from the airport. If the choice is Palermo I would pick around the area that is next to Recoleta.

Newcomer Which neighborhood do you recommend?

Belgrano R and Coghlan are fancy, clean and quiet neighborhoods, they are stick to each other so you could consider that whole area. Palermo has more nightlife which is nice, but may get noisy and you may suffer that over-time. Recoleta is near everything and some streets are quiet. Personally I...

Newcomer A Large Percentage of Argentinians Want to Be Digital Nomads: A Growing Trend!

Just Bancolombia. A few months ago Bancolombia also had issues with its digital wallet called 'Nequi' where it was not possible to make transfers through the app for a couple of days.

Is unclear if it's just a technical issue or Petro's hands are involved either way it's crazy.

    Newcomer Exploring Argentina with Kids

If you head to Bariloche I recommend you to stay a few days in San Martin De Los Andes even Villa La Angostura if you have time. In Bariloche, the west country-side area is nicer and fancier, with much better landscapes.

I don't think Petro nor the left-wing will be re-elected, there's some inflation going on since he's in charge and people are feeling it. Colombians overall love what Milei is doing in Arg.

Newcomer A Large Percentage of Argentinians Want to Be Digital Nomads: A Growing Trend!

Yeah, it's acordding to the plate's ending number I believe so some people decide to have 2 cars so they can drive daily!. People can use electric cars every day of the week though. I've went back to BA a few months ago and I remember noticing how smooth the traffic was compared. Definitely...

Newcomer A Large Percentage of Argentinians Want to Be Digital Nomads: A Growing Trend!

Yeah, looks like locals are just used to it and keep buying fancy cars... weird because on top of that driving outside of the city is hard because of the hilly terrain, much better to take a plane instead. People is really nice though and despite the traffic the drivers respect the peasants more...

Newcomer A Large Percentage of Argentinians Want to Be Digital Nomads: A Growing Trend!

I agree with all of what's described there... Having a car in Bogota is silly: Traffic is awful and there's a regulation for non-electric cars that forbids using them during certain days of the week according to the plate's number... they said it's to reduce the carbon footprint but the...
