A road trip through Argentina reveals the country’s wild beauty at its best - Buenos Aires to Salta

Given the expense of owning a car, I'll probably take planes/trains to various regions and rent a car for a week from there. I love my road trips. I've driven through 47 of the 50 US states.
Definitely you don't want to own a car here. More of a hassle. Taxis and ubers are so affordable here. You can rent a car when you need it when traveling. But rentals are expensive too! Rental cars here can add up but beats owning a car. I would never recommend owning here. No place to park and lately many cars are getting broken into.

Yeah, I think I've decided it makes more to take a train to Tucuman or a plane to Bariloches, or wherever, then rent for a few days or a week to see more of the countryside. Like I said...I love road trips!
but that would be maybe a week every couple months. If I stay in Buenos Aires, I don't even want a car those weeks in between. Public transit is fine and I also enjoy walking.

I was in BA two weeks and every time I went in a car with the person it was kind of nightmarish trying to find a place to park. I couldn't believe how bad it was. They had a few public paid garages but they told me that those are constantly being torn down to put up buildings.

I ended up walking a lot and also took a lot of Ubers when I was going to business meetings. I was surprised just how good rideshare works there and taxis too. Only annoying thing about taxis is you had to have cash.

My friends there said Ubers are everywhere. I still want to visit Buenos Aires. Wonder if it will get cheaper later this year. Kind of crazy the prices for some restaurants now. Airbnbs still look to be the same price though.
