After the insurance scandal, which led to the departure of two officials from Nación Seguros , the Government decided to prohibit intermediaries in all insurance contracts made by public organizations. The Chief of Staff Nicolás Posse decided it through a note he sent to all the ministers last night.

“Hereby, it is appropriate to clarify that the contracting of insurance policies that are carried out within the scope of their jurisdictions must be carried out without intermediation,” says a very brief note signed last night by Posse and to which he had Infobae access .

The text was sent to Guillermo Francos, Diana Mondino, Luis Petri, Luis Andres Caputo, Mariano Cúneo Libarona, Patricia Bullrich, Mario Antonio Russo, Sandra Pettovello, Karina Milei, Javier Herrera Bravo, and Eduardo Serenellini.

Over the weekend, the Government had fired two officials from Nación Seguros who were raided by Judge Julián Ercolini. These are the former general manager Mauro Tanos, a former member of La Cámpora promoted by the current government, and the purchasing manager Marcos Eufemio .

Justice arrived in Tanos from a Jeep truck that was seen at the house of businessman Alfredo Del Corro. That vehicle is registered in the name of “7 de Mayo Cooperativa Limitada”, but the manager of Nación Seguros had a blue card to use it.

The investigators discovered that truck from a striking situation that occurred in one of the procedures ordered by the judge a month ago, at one of the headquarters of the San Ignacio company. In that place, a lawyer gave the Federal Police two boxes with documentation. When they went to look for the cameras at the location, the officers realized that the boxes had arrived a few minutes earlier in a car, a Citroën C4 Cactus, domain AF737BD.

Following that lead ended at Del Corro's house and then on Tanos.

Mauro Tanos was general manager and had to resign.

In the case of Eufemio, the magistrate found very striking corporate data. In fact, he is part of a company called “SMART TECHNOLOGY SRL” together with Del Corro, a businessman who is not in the insurance industry but would have a leading role in the maneuver as Infobae learned . He is also linked to the firm “ Megaled Del Sur SRL” , where Del Corro himself and Damián Gosso appear.

On Saturday morning, both officials were ordered to resign, as reported by this media . The person in charge of communicating the political decision was the president of Nación Seguros, Alfonso José Torres.

However, the Government never repealed the decree that Alberto Fernández signed in 2021, which obliged all public organizations to contract with the State, and had not removed the intermediaries either. In fact, brokers charged $239,961,680 in the first two months of this year for contracts with the State, according to an audit by Nación Seguros sent to Justice.

In the case of Bachellier, the company that charged the most commissions in the previous government, earned $30,884,619 between January 1 and February 26 of this year , the date the Nación Seguros audit was signed. Behind them are Héctor Martínez Sosa ($10,283,903), Castello Mercuri ($21,050,427) and the two intermediaries of the policy with ANSES, San Ignacio and TG Broker, with $63,739,348.

These two signatures were put together by the former head of the Sustainability Guarantee Fund, Federico D'Angelo Campos in the policy for credits for retirees.

D'Angelo Campos is accused in one of the cases.

The investigation targeted, at least in this first stage, those five companies . Judge Julián Ercolini decided to freeze his assets while he continues analyzing the information and lifted the tax and banking secrecy.

Bachellier is headed by Osvaldo Alfredo Tortora and Ricardo Daniel González, but researchers have been working on the hypothesis that the company is a satellite of Martínez Sosa for some time. Judge Ercolini mentioned a fact: the address of that firm would be the private address of Tortora, a humble apartment in Villa Crespo. “A property that at first glance would not be consistent with the headquarters of a company with businesses of such magnitude,” the magistrate highlighted in the latest resolution.

Until now the Government has been providing information to the case through the Ministry of Human Capital, but was unable to enter as a plaintiff. Ercolini considered that there could be more officials involved , including in that portfolio and in the ANSES.

Investigators continue to review the documentation that arrived at Comodoro Py during the month of March and prosecutor Carlos Rívolo was in charge of reviewing the assets of all those involved.

For this, Ercolini ordered this Monday the general inhibition of assets of former President Alberto Fernández and asked that his fiscal and banking secrecy be lifted . The same measure was applied to the former officials of Nación Seguros and all the businessmen involved in the case. In total there are 33 people and companies.
