When?
Sunday, May 26, from 12 to 6 p.m.

Where?
de Mayo Avenue, between Bolívar and Chacabuco.

The first BA Celebra of the year is here! This time the event will pay tribute to ten communities in Europe: Croatia, Denmark, Slovakia, Finland, Ireland, Norway, the Basque Country, Portugal, the Czech Republic and Sweden.

The proposal
Get ready to visit more than 50 gastronomic stands that will be displayed along Av. de Mayo. Sauerkraut, strudel, Nordic pastries, Swedish pastries and much more.

In addition, each community will have its institutional positions to publicize its culture. Some will provide educational workshops, such as an open Czech language class, and others will spread their history through art, textiles and crafts.

Traditions scene

During the event, you will be able to enjoy shows that will bring the art of each of the honored countries. The proposal will be varied and will bring together more than 20 presentations of dance, music, singing and storytelling.

Among them will be the folk dances of the Sokol ensemble (Czech Republic); those of KUD Proljece and Mala Skola BA; and the a cappella and traditional Croatian music of ´Klapa Valovi´; folk dances from Celtic Argentina and Emeraldance; and traditional Celtic music by Telyn Hud and Evergreen (Ireland). The Euskaltzaleak group (Basque Country) will also perform with their traditional dances, and the Portuguese Club Choir. Another great moment will be with the narration of the Nordic legend "The theft of Thor's hammer" (Denmark), and a show by the musician Daniel Inger (Slovenia). In addition, you can take the opportunity to join an introductory workshop on nålbinding, a fabric creation technique from Finnish culture.
