Food & Drink Bagels in BA

Hi Everyone! Does anyone know where to get good bagels in Buenos Aires? I tried Bagels & Bagels in Alto Palermo for brunch, but it was disappointing, so I won’t be going back. Are there any places in the city that serve NYC-style bagels? I’d really appreciate any recommendations!

I saw the great pizza and Empanada threads. Anyone got any tips for good bagel places in Buenos Aires? I haven't been able to find decent bagels. I'm from New York City so I crave a good bagel.

I went to Togni's Café and their bagels are really good. I’m not sure if they’re on par with those in NY, but they’re the best I’ve had here.

Of course, Sheikob's! a true New Yorker like me, totally nails it with the bagels, definitely on par with those in NY. By the way, did you know there's a second location now in Las Cañitas? Honestly, the best part of living in BA is that Sheikob's is right across the street from me in Palermo Soho 🤣.

Jacob’s such a great guy! I’m not sure it’s 100% authentic New York, but it definitely comes close. I actually enjoy both locations, they each have a totally different vibe, which makes it fun to switch things up.

This place has the best in BA. Not the cheapest but they are the closest thing to back home.

I think the bagels are way better at the Palermo location. It feels like the crew at Las Cañitas could use a bit more practice to really get them right.

It's like trying to find good sandwiches de miga, medialunas, or churros in the U.S. I get that you miss certain things from home, but it’s really about adapting to a new culture. Every place has its own unique foods and traditions, and while you might not find exactly what you’re used to, it's part of the experience of accepting something different.
