So, I’ll start by saying the food itself was probably the best Chinese I’ve had outside Barrio Chino, but the vibes were a serious turnoff.
You walk in to see shelves of Fallen Gong propaganda on the bar and along the wall, and the walls have Falun Gong writings framed, and there’s a TV playing propaganda videos for the patrons the whole time.
The food itself, about mid-tier U.S. level, not blow you away good, but definitely better than most in Argentina. However, the vibe, the weird cult-like atmosphere and the borderline menacing vibe from the staff when we didn’t want to hear the post-meal propaganda ensured we won’t be back. Or, as I joked with my wife, “the food is good but I’d never accept a glass of Kool-Aid from them.”
