The "empty pots" protest in front of the Hotel Libertador
The social organization Somos Barrios de Pie demonstrated in front of the Hotel Libertador, where the president lives Javier Milei, with empty pots, to protest due to “the lack of food in community kitchens.”
The leader of the group is Daniel Menéndez, who during the government of Alberto Fernández was secretary of the Council of the Popular Economy and the Complementary Social Wage in the Ministry of Social Development.
The protesters arrived at the corner of Córdoba and Maipú at 10 a.m. and demanded to be received by officials of the national government. They are on the sidewalk and do not threaten to block the street.

When the mobilization began, Milei was no longer at the hotel. She had left minutes before to the Casa Rosada and this afternoon she will travel to Río Gallegos to fly to Antarctica. The corner was fenced off by the Federal Police.
“No to the adjustment of the tables”, “Present pots, hungry children”, are some of the slogans that were listed on the protesters' posters, which said that the dining rooms receive more and more people, “they prepare 10 million dishes a day” and in November and December they did not receive food.
This is the third Friday of the “round of empty pots”. The two previous times the protest had been in front of the headquarters of the Ministry of Human Capital. Sandra Pettovello, the minister, did not receive them and that is one of the complaints of the protesters.

Minutes before noon, the mobilization had ended and the deconcentration began.
The organization anticipated that next Friday it will take its petition to the presidential poll. According to what was announced in the Government, by then the President will be moved to Olivos.
