After an extensive debate, the Base Law promoted by the ruling party received half a sanction in the Lower House. The detail of the final vote, the radicals who abstained and the legislators who rejected the proposal promoted by La Libertad Avanza

Base Law: the moment of the vote
More than 20 hours of debate , which included countless intersections and chicanes, were necessary to reach the vote that gave half a sanction in general to the so-called “Bases and Starting Points Law for the Freedom of Argentines .”

At 08:49 in the morning, the screen of the Chamber of Deputies reflected the final result: 142 votes in favor, 106 against and 5 abstentions ; Of course, the reading of the final number provoked immediate applause from the legislators who accompanied the ruling party.

The list of supports included: all the members of the La Libertad Avanza bench ; 36 PRO legislators ; 30 of the Radical Civic Union ( UCR ); 18 of We Make the Federal Coalition (Miguel Pichetto among them); eight from Federal Innovation ; three from the MID (the brand new block put together by Oscar Zago ); three of Independence ; two from Buenos Aires Libre ; and one from Creo , another from the Neuquén Popular Movement and the remaining from the Por Santa Cruz uniblock .

Meanwhile, the following voted against : the 102 representatives of the Union for the Homeland bloc ; the five deputies who are part of the FIT ; and three from We Make the Federal Coalition: Natalia De la Sota, Mónica Fein and Esteban Paulón .

There were five abstentions: the dissident radicals Facundo Manes, Fernando Carbajal, Marcela Coli and Pablo Juliano ; Mónica Frade (We Make the Federal Coalition) joined them .

An extra piece of information that emerges from reading the vote is that there were two legislators who changed their vote , with respect to the option they had chosen the first time the Bases Law was discussed: Mónica Fein (We Make the Federal Coalition) and Fernando Carbajal (UCR ).

Both deputies had endorsed the original version of the Omnibus Law when it first arrived in the National Congress; However, on this occasion, with the reduced version, they chose to abstain.

Among the votes in favor was also that of Marcela Pagano , who had been immersed in the middle of an enormous controversy over the internal of La Libertad Avanza, after a scandalous formation of the Impeachment Commission.

The official legislator was not present to provide a quorum and was not a protagonist during the more than 20 hours of the debate that took place in the Chamber of Deputies. But she surprised her by arriving at the venue minutes before the definition ; Of course, her vote was in favor of the Base Law. Now the unknown is knowing how her story will continue within the official space.
