Expat Life: Local Discoveries, Global Connections

We went to a restaurant on Sunday and it was full. We waited at the door, asking a waiter how long it would take to get a table. Although he initially told us it would be half an hour with no guarantees, we noticed that he then took the bill to a table of two, similar to ours, not understanding why he denied us a table.

We decided to leave due to her attitude, but outside, another waitress offered us a table. She was friendly and served us well. Despite the wait and the delay in service due to Mother's Day, the dishes were excellent in taste, presentation and quantity. The experience was marred by the unfriendliness of most of the staff, but the aforementioned waitress and the quality of the food were worth it.

In another context, we visited San Telmo and stopped at a café. From the moment we arrived, the staff, including the person who greeted us, served us quickly and cordially. They located us right away, brought us coffee quickly and treated us with kindness, even providing blankets for the cold. This positive experience makes us want to return to the place.
