Correos Internacional

Has anyone had to go to Correo Internacional in Av Antartida recently?

Any idea how busy it is?

My wife has manged to get a package delivered there and we have to go and pick it up.

Thanks in advinace for any help.
I dread going there! I haven't gone recently but went last year and spent 2 hours in line. Terrible. I tell people to never mail me anything that depends on them!

Someone else I met got something delivered there and they told me it is crazy busy there. Plus they were hit up for paying some "tax". Do any of the shipping services go through Correo International? I'm just wondering why anyone would choose to get stuff mailed if they know it will go through it?

They are the biggest bunch of thieves there. She will be waiting there for at least 1-2 hours. I did not go in some years but never had a pleasant experience there!

They always try to bribe you. Nothing you can do. What delivery service did it go through? Sometimes last leg goes through there. Avoid!

I wouldn't wish my worst enemy going to this office. I went in person once many years ago and swore off ever going again. Hopefully things are much better now. With technology it must have improved.

When I went it was terrible. They gave out these little tickets and it had like 8 digits on it. They had this crappy loud speaker that you couldn't hear well and they were calling out the numbers and you could barely hear it. No monitor at all. Just terrible.

I got hired by a private equity firm in NYC to buy an entire building to do a hotel. To celebrate they sent everyone working the deal (lawyers, accountants, bankers) Tiffany cufflinks. Little did they know that it went through this office. I waited maybe 3 hours in line and it was hot and by the time I get up to the window they asked me to pay something like $400 USD. The cufflinks weren't even valued at that amount. They were just making up some number out of the air.

I told them to just send them back. I doubt it can be as bad as it used to be but that was the last time I ever went back. Just terrible people there.

Terrible place! I sent something once to my amigovia in BA once. I sent it through DHL but somehow it ended up on the last leg going through Correo Intl. And then like you others she had to pay a fee to get it. Terrible. Milei needs to finally fix this.

I honestly don’t know what they’re complaining about, they have one of the strongest unions out there! They manage to get salary increases no one else can, they get multiple days off throughout the year, even a day off for their birthday! Some even get extra days for personal matters. If they’re striking with all those benefits, what’s left for the rest ?
