The costs to carry out a country-type house increased sharply in dollars during December. Questions regarding how to budget for new works, currency and upgrades.
The cost of building a premium category home in a country or private neighborhood, including taxes and professional fees, was almost 1,736,000 pesos per m2 at the end of December. To build the 315 m2 home that we analyzed month by month, the sum of $546,675,663 would be needed. In 8 months the cost in pesos practically tripled.

As we have been saying, the costs measured in American currency have been going up and down for two years at the rate of inflation in pesos and the constant devaluations, but the strong inflation of recent months in pesos, added to the strong rise in the official dollar and a blue that did not rise at the same rate took costs to a new level measured in American currency, placing it for December very close to the ceiling of the years 2017-2018:

There are many doubts that are generated regarding this issue, since by the end of December an increase in the cost measured in dollars of 36% could be verified if we contrast it with the average of the previous 12 months. The big unknown is how inflation in pesos, the price of the blue and the official price will continue to evolve, all elements that play into the cost of carrying out a project. The truth is that today the only way to start a project would be to start it with a cost measured in pesos and update it month by month based on some reliable index. The data show that it is very difficult to set a cost in dollars in this situation and then actually cover these costs or vice versa.

Wow it always boggles my mind how expensive these houses are relative to what wages are there. Proof positive a LOT of $$$$ in BA.
