Disney and the Teatro Colón present Star Wars: Return of the Jedi in Concert , a new visual and musical show that pays tribute to the iconic film Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (1983) and will be presented with five performances starting on the 30th. of April. The experience features a live performance of the iconic soundtrack by Oscar® Award-winning composer John Williams, by the Association of Teachers of the Teatro Colón Stable Orchestra directed by Maestro Ezequiel Silberstein , along with an on-screen projection of the full movie.

Star Wars: Return of the Jedi in Concert is a striking sound and visual spectacle that has as its central element the memorable soundtrack created by Williams. The presentation consists of all the musical pieces, including the iconic “The Imperial March”, which has become an emblem of the Star Wars saga .
The new show is the third live Star Wars show to be presented at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, after Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert , which premiered in February 2020, and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back in Concert , which premiered in July 2022.
Since the release of the first film more than 45 years ago, Star Wars has had a seismic impact on both film and culture, inspiring audiences around the world with its mythic storytelling, captivating characters , innovative special effects and iconic musical scores composed by Williams.
Released in theaters in the United States on May 23, 1983, the film Star Wars: Return of the Jedi in Concert is the sixth episode of the saga and finds the Empire prepared to crush the rebellion with a more powerful Death Star, while that the Rebel fleet mounts a massive attack on the space station. Luke Skywalker, meanwhile, faces Darth Vader in a climactic final duel against the evil Emperor.
For his part, John Williams has composed the music for more than one hundred films, being honored on numerous occasions throughout his extensive and prolific career. It has 54 nominations for the Oscar® Awards and has won five statuettes. In turn, among other recognitions, he received the Kennedy Center Honors award in 2004, obtained the United States Medal of Arts (National Medal of Arts) in 2009 and was honored with the American Film Institute's lifetime achievement award in 2016.
