In his presentation at the summit, the former US president strongly praised the leader of La Libertad Avanza : “I want to thank the president of Argentina, who had a lot of publicity. He is a great man, he is MAGA, Make Argentina Great Again. He can do it well. Javier Milei. Thank you Milei, thank you very much, it is a great honor to have you here.”

"President! How nice to meet you. It is a great pleasure to meet you, President. It's a great honor for me. Thank you for your words towards me. I am very happy, he is very generous. Thank you very much, it is a great pleasure,” said the head of state.

Trump, for his part, retorted with words similar to those he used in his speech: “Thank you very much, you are doing a great job. MAGA, Make Argentina Great Again, Let's take some photos.”

During his speech, Milei spoke at length between harangues from those present, who applauded and cheered him in different sections of his speech, especially the most aggressive ones against ideas contrary to the extreme right in the economic field. “Given the impact of the conference in Davos, in which I pointed out that the West is in danger due to the advance of statist and socialist ideas, I will focus on the technical foundations that supported those political assessments of that conference. I will focus on how the neoclassical economics of market failure is functional to the advance of statism and how this destroys economic growth, putting a brake on improvements in well-being and the fight against poverty," the head of state began his speech, in front of dozens of Republican supporters aligned with Trump.

The President spoke mainly from the point of view of macroeconomic theory, but at times he made specific references to the situation in Argentina. “They will become aware of this battle we are fighting, but we are not going to give up on making Argentina great again,” he said, borrowing Trump's slogan, who a couple of hours before had also used that phrase, but in English. “This aberration is taken in the name of social justice, and Hayek spoke of “weasel words,” where every time an adjective is used, it means the opposite. “Social justice is violent and unjust, it is an aberration,” he said.
