Food & Drink El Globo

No exaggeration, El Globo is "the" place in town to eat a good three-meat stew: chicken, beef and pork. In fact, in its first years of existence, that was the only dish served in this restaurant. Back then, the establishment was called "Fernández y Fernández Bar & Billares". But an epic adventure of Jorge Newbery ended up changing its identity. It turns out that, in 1907, this famous aviator, who was also a regular at the place, crossed the Río de la Plata in "El Pampero", a hot air balloon he had brought from France. A year later, in 1908, Newbery said to the owner of the bowling alley: "Why don't you change the name and call it El Globo or El Pampero?

That is how it was renamed as the place that, to this day, has plaques, photos and pictures that honor this pioneer of Argentine aviation. Another fact: in addition to the legendary stew, you can eat excellent fish, rice and seafood.

Interesting cult bar with an atmosphere of the time in which it was created. With a lot of capacity and noise (a lot) it is characterized by its copious and equally tasty traditional dishes. I have eaten the richest cannelloni of my life that flooded of ricor to the first bite. but it does not fall behind its veal or desserts. The prices are a little salty but you leave happy anyway.
