Do you want to meet producers from all over the country and try the most delicious alfajor flavors? The participation of proposals from all regions of Argentina and some from abroad are the guarantee of a diversity of types of alfajores that you never imagined. Which one will be the world champion?
There are 15 categories in the World Alfajor Championship, including “best dark chocolate”, “best dulce de leche”, “best exotic flavour”, “best healthy flavour”, “best texture” and “best triple”. The most eagerly awaited award will be the one that consecrates some of the winners of the categories as the “best alfajor in the world”. The participating companies send their samples to be subjected to a blind tasting by a specialized jury. Thus, each alfajor is rated on more than 35 sensory characteristics. The three best will take home gold, silver and bronze medals.
In addition to tasting and selling the most delicious alfajores, you will find talks, masterclasses, demonstrations, raffles, exhibitions by label collectors, food stands, a children's pastry area and live bands.
