This is great news for Argentina. I read that Decathlon will expand with 20 stores into Argentina. I guess companies are finally starting to come into Argentina. Not until 2026 but positive to hear.

They are a very good store. The negative is they will probably be 2X the price as normal in Europe! They already have stores in Brazil.

They have locations in Colombia. I bought some tennis things there. And affordable. But with all the taxes in Argentina will they be able to be affordable? I know individuals have import taxes waived but I don't think this applies to companies. I would assume they will be stupid expensive here? Or if they are not and they make prices reasonable how will local stores be able to compete?

The idea is to ease or get rid of many of these import taxes. The goal would be allowing foreign companies to come here and setting prices lower and if the local stores don't lower and offer competitive prices than they go out of business.
