Got Injured on a Colectivo – Looking for a Specialist!

Hi everyone,

Yesterday, my arm got caught in the doors of a colectivo and was crushed for a solid minute, super painful. I went to the ER, and unfortunately, it's fractured. Now I’m stuck with a cast all the way up to my shoulder. 🫣😳
If anyone has recommendations for a good orthopedic doctor, I’d really appreciate it! Thank you so much, and be careful out there, those bus doors are no joke!

I would recommend going to Hospital Italiano on Gascon, where they have an orthopedic branch at Potosí 4247. Another great option is Fundación Dupuytren, which specializes exclusively in orthopedics (Av. Belgrano 3402, +54 11 4860-7500). Both have excellent specialists, so it might be worth calling ahead to check availability and see which one works best for you.

Hi! I'm really sorry to hear what happened. I think you should see an orthopedic specialist for arms and hands. I can recommend two excellent doctors I met at Sanatorio Mater Day. You can schedule an appointment online, but it might take a while to get one, so I recommend calling and asking which days the doctors are available, as they sometimes see patients without an appointment. The doctors are Dr. Juan Morchio and Dr. McGuire.

Oh no, I’m so sorry to hear what happened! That sounds incredibly painful. I hope you're managing okay despite the fracture. As for an orthopedic doctor, I highly recommend Clínica San Camilo. They specialize exclusively in traumatology and have some of the best specialists around. I'm sure you'll be in great hands there! Wishing you a speedy recovery.
