The head of the bloc, Cristian Ritondo, stated that the party will support the Government's initiative, despite the fact that differences still persist on a couple of issues. He anticipated a session of about 50 hours

Before the debate, the PRO ratified its support for the Omnibus Law
Minutes before the start of the session in the Chamber of Deputies in which the Omnibus Law promoted by the national Government will be discussed, the PRO ratified their support, despite the fact that there are still some differences on specific issues. In addition, they announced that the discussion will last more than 50 hours and that, surely, there will be an intermission.

The president of the PRO bloc in the Lower House, Cristian Ritondo , highlighted that many of the things contained in the project are initiatives that they defended during Patricia Bullrich's presidential campaign, and said that they feel "identified" in that force. “ The PRO is going to have an activity to support this law,” he confirmed.

During an interview with Marcelo Longobardi on Radio Rivadavia, the former Buenos Aires Minister of Security pointed out the issues in which even in his bloc they have some discrepancy with respect to the official project, such as tobacco and fishing, although he hinted that there may be some kind agree during the debate.

It was at that point that Ritondo outlined a kind of criticism of the treatment that the project had in commission: “There were not all the days that had been required, there are very important issues in which the debate lasted two or three hours, it was not a very deep debate,” he admitted .

One of the issues included in the project that has been generating the most controversy is the privatization of state companies. Although the Government removed YPF from that group, the rest of the companies were included, something that many blocks reject. However, Ritondo confirmed that this initiative is something that the PRO will vote for: “ We are going to accompany because in Together for Change, when we campaigned with Patricia, we talked about this issue, we committed ourselves, and today we have to be consistent with what we talked about.” in campaign,” he explained .
“Throughout this week, from the PRO block we worked very committedly so that the project can come to fruition, we actively participated in the commissions, in the meetings, we contributed experience from our deputies in each of the items. In total honesty, what we see is that we have to make a bill that makes Argentina a normal country. And we understand that this law advances many of the changes we need, which were also our campaign commitments,” Ritondo highlighted during the interview.

The Chamber of Deputies will meet today for the first time this year
For this reason, Ritondo said that it is “much easier” for the PRO to accompany the project, even though there may be some particular discussion.” In the volume of this law, which is gigantic, we have support identified with the values of the PRO,” he stressed.

The deputy continued with his analysis and said that the project also contains tools to combat inflation, and that is also why they will vote for it, although he clarified that the PRO is not part of the Government.

"We in the PRO do not govern or co-govern, we are a political force that from day one has had a responsible collaboration with the national government, that we feel identified with much of the bill, and that we believe that a Government that has been elected with the 56% of the votes in the second round, but it has parliamentary weakness, because it has 38 legislators, we must help it in this beginning so that it has the best possible law and that it is the tool to build the Argentina that they have committed to." , he claimed.
Finally, Ritondo was consulted about yesterday's statements by Nicolás Massot, a former member of Together for Change who today is part of the bloc We Make the Federal Coalition, and who stated that the Government was surely going to have “scratches” against the deputies who vote against the project.

“I have not suffered it, at least until today, I have had a clear, clean discussion with the national government on each of the issues that we felt we had to change. It is true that the dialogue with the ruling party was a bit disordered, but it is logical that it happens with a Government that has just started, that many times some did not have management experience in the public sphere and the intention was to carry out very profound changes," Ritondo clarified. .

The start of the session is scheduled for 10 today, while the ruling party's negotiations continue to secure the votes to give half a sanction to the project.

In advance, the La Libertad Avanza bloc , with its 38 legislators , is far from the 129 necessary to maintain the quorum and the majority to approve articles without the need to reach a consensus with the opposition. It is a fact that will add to the will of José Luis Espert with his Avanza Libertad monoblock and that, despite the abuse suffered in recent times, Carolina Píparo , with the Buenos Aires Libre block that she shares with Lorena Macyszyn , will also support the mega legislation.

The dialogue opposition - made up of the PRO, the Radical Civic Union, We Make the Federal Coalition and Federal Innovation - has already guaranteed the ruling party that it will provide a quorum and that it will vote favorably on the treatment in general. However, the key will be in the voting in particular, in which dissent was expressed from different spaces. After the Executive Branch gave in on more than 100 articles, the differences continue to be in the powers delegated to Milei, the privatizations of public companies, the extension of the PAIS Tax, changes in biofuels and fishing.
