Eduardo Elsztain, president of IRSA, announced that the company has plans to develop a dozen housing projects, both in the AMBA and in the main cities of Argentina.

Within the framework of the Expo Real Estate, the businessman revealed that, in a first stage, in addition to Ramblas del Plata -the neighborhood that will extend the City of Buenos Aires to the south-, apartment buildings will be built in Polo Dot (next to the shopping center), the Edificio del Plata will be renovated to transform its offices into homes, the Mz35 project will be built in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Caballito, and in La Plata a "mixed-use center" will be built that will have a shopping center and several residential plots, a hotel, entertainment centers, etc.

“We are convinced that the reappearance of mortgage credit was the starting point for the new economic horizons that are evident in our country. IRSA's track record in the real estate market is the guarantee of the projects that we will be developing at the federal level, continuing with the premise of making a City,” said Elsztain.

The planned investment for these projects exceeds US$2 billion, and in several cases there will be participation from various national and international development groups.

Jorge Cruces, CIO of the company, also commented on the other projects in which the company is involved, such as the housing in Rosario (in the vicinity of Alto Rosario), the developments in front of Abasto Shopping, a gated community in Ezpeleta (PBA), two buildings next to Córdoba Shopping and the development near Carrasco airport in Montevideo (Uruguay).
