The President decides at this time to demand the departure of a key member of his team for having “maliciously leaked” reserved Government conversations.

Javier Milei is considering asking one of his Cabinet ministers to resign, upset by the leak of data to different media outlets about high-level private conversations. The name of the future resigned minister is still a state secret, but Milei is close to making the final decision, according to official sources very close to the President.

The Government revealed that the next former official “ maliciously leaked” certain comments during different Cabinet meetings, and the head of State defined at noon that it was time to end “information distortions.”

It will be the Chief of Staff, Nicolás Posse, who will be in charge of demanding the minister's resignation on Milei's behalf.

The last chapter of the leaks took place today after the Cabinet meeting , when an alleged presidential comment against the governors over the Omnibus law emerged. That phrase attributed to Milei was not reliable and complicated the negotiations that are being carried out against the clock.

Milei said: “I'm going to leave you without cash,” in relation to the governors who still insist on lowering withholdings for the countryside and industry. And, according to what was explained at noon in Government, the questioned minister would have “maliciously” distorted that presidential comment.

The expression was the summary of the confrontational tactic adopted by the leader of the Executive as negotiations with the opposition in the legislative sphere become muddied. And a support for his Minister of Economy, Luis “Toto” Caputo, and the spokesperson for the Presidency, Manuel Adorni, who yesterday had expressed ideas in the same sense and were accused from within for, supposedly, threatening all those who They do not support his measure.

Milei is very jealous of the private dialogues and believes that these leaks further muddied the political negotiations with the opponents. He considers that he must have a trusted team around him, who is committed to the libertarian cause, and suspects that the official who let his private statements be revealed has a parallel political agenda.

The departure in the Cabinet takes place in the midst of the continuity of the negotiations for the Omnibus law. Milei's phrase that was leaked today had to do with the line that “Toto” Caputo had drawn, but also Adorni, in his conference yesterday, when he said that he saw no reason why the bases bill should not end up becoming law . Then, he also warned that, if that did not happen, he would continue with the adjustment of public accounts. “This will include the analysis of each and every one of the items that the national government transfers to the provinces , in all the concepts that can occur,” he said.

Meanwhile, this afternoon the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Nation, José Rolandi, listened to the dissidents of radicalism and the Pichetto bloc, who hope that the ruling party will redraft the text with changes. But despite the willingness to listen and dialogue, the Government is firmer than before. He has already given in with several concessions, and believes it is the opposition's turn.

Rolandi first met with representatives of radicalism, after in the plenary session of commissions the UCR voted divided, with half in favor of the majority opinion with dissidents, and the other against any office. Opponents mainly resist retentions, retirements, privatizations, FGS, money laundering and delegated powers.

In relation to retirement mobility , the Civic Coalition proposes a formula that ensures that assets do not lose against inflation and are updated monthly from the passing of the law, with an initial recomposition. But it also insists on helping to achieve zero deficit "without adjusting retirees, the countryside and workers" by eliminating tax benefits such as those of the Tierra del Fuego Regime to increase revenue by 2% of GDP.

While the allies get tough and Kirchnerism leans to the left and radicalizes its position against the Government, Javier Milei, who played a double game of negotiation and intransigence, is now leaning towards open confrontation. However, the channels of dialogue with the dialogue terminals remain open, through governors, deputies and senators who, at a very low level, are inclined to some of the reforms.
