Hey everyone! I’m on the hunt for a new mattress and checked out Sommier Center and Bed Time. Both recommended Stearns & Foster as their top-quality brand. They felt super comfy, but I’d love to hear from anyone who has one, how do they hold up over time?
Thanks in advance.
In the U.S., that’s a well-known and high-quality mattress brand. I’m not sure if it has the same reputation in Argentina. You might want to check out specialized stores like Simmons, La Cardeuse, or Suavestar to compare options.
I have one and no complaints. I bought it about five years ago, and it's still amazing. However, I didn’t buy it at Sommier Center, which is a bit pricey. Simmons also has really good mattresses, though they’re not cheap either.
I've bought different brands from both Sommier Center and Bed Time. I also checked out La Cardeuse and their second-tier store, but the prices weren’t much lower than what Sommier Center or Bed Time offer. I’m not a fan of Espumería, the mattresses I tried there felt cheap compared to the memory foam ones I’m used to in the U.S. If you’re mattress shopping in Argentina, go for coil mattresses instead of foam. The foam ones here just don’t match the quality of those in the U.S.
If you're looking for a good deal, this store has decent mattresses at fair prices, and they’ve got a showroom at Jujuy 1693, CABA: Dormitienda. Personally, I wouldn’t go for Stearns & Foster because I’m not sure it’s actually better than other options out there. In Argentina (not in the U.S., but here), I’d probably go for a cheaper mattress that lasts five years rather than an expensive one that’s supposed to last ten, especially if they feel pretty similar in quality. Who knows? Maybe in a few months, imports will open up, and we’ll have access to better materials or imported mattresses. I’d just get something comfy but affordable for now and wait to see how the import situation plays out.
I bought mine at www.colchonesarcoiris.com, and honestly, the customer service was excellent. They gave me personalized advice based on what I was looking for. You can either visit the store and try different mattresses, or you can get advice via WhatsApp. Hope this helps!
My absolute favorite mattresses in Argentina are the Simmons Beautyrest Platinum pillow top mattresses. They are very expensive but really comfortable. I've been buying them since 2002 in my properties there and guests really love it. Really wonderful and last a long time. I have some that I bought for apartments in 2002 and they are still going strong.
I highly recommend Sensorial Mattresses! I bought one of their models a few months ago and I’m really happy with it. It has a layer of memory foam that perfectly adapts to the body, providing an amazing rest. Also, the price is pretty good for the quality they offer. If you’re looking for something comfortable and durable, I’d definitely check it out. I highly recommend it.
