The City of Buenos Aires offers an unforgettable experience for all children: the Museum of Imagination and Play (MIJU). This is the first recreational space designed and designed for the three segments of childhood with the aim of guaranteeing the right to play for boys and girls.

In what were formerly the facilities of the emblematic Munich Brewery on the Costanera Sur, the MIJU seeks to stimulate imagination, creativity and discovery, encouraging the construction of enriching experiences for motor and cognitive development.

The building has three floors and each of them is intended for a different age group: from 0 to 3 years old, from 4 to 7, and from 8 to 12.

Space for boys and girls from 0 to 3 years old

The space for boys and girls from 0 to 3 years old is located on the upper floor. It invites sensory-motor play through installations of organic and soft shapes that generate different reliefs and textures, with lighting, chromatic and sound proposals, in order to accompany and enhance the development of boys and girls.

It has a creative room that provides a play and fun area for accompanying boys and girls over 3 years old. There they can explore, draw, read and enjoy more proposals designed for them.

Space for boys and girls from 4 to 7 years old

The ground floor is aimed at the 4 to 7 year old segment, consisting of two rooms linked by an intermediate level in height that combines structures and recreational elements conducive to exploring, experimenting and conquer the terrain. This installation puts motor skills and physical exertion into play, and develops imagination, creativity and curiosity.

The basement is designed for boys and girls from 8 to 12 years old. There visitors can enjoy technological and digital proposals in which they can experiment visually, musically and physically to play, create and interact.

How to enter

You have to take a turn. They will be able to enter on the day and time they have chosen for an estimated time of one hour. Within that hour, the arrival, assignment of the shift, payment of the entrance fee and proper immersion in the space will take place with a prior welcome talk.

Something important is that, throughout the experience, it is mandatory that each minor be accompanied by an adult. A clarification: only children pay admission, companions enter free of charge. One fact: on Wednesdays, access is free for everyone (although always with a reservation).

If there are more adult members per family group, they can enjoy the museum facilities dedicated to companions, such as the balcony and the museum park.
