I think everyone has to be happy that inflation has slowed down under Milei. I criticize him all the time and still think he is making many mistakes. I predict that Caputo will end up resigning later this year.

Milei has two economic jobs: lowering inflation and getting the economy going. So far, he is halfway through the first goal and nowhere with the second. All eyes are on Economy Minister Luis Caputo, whose job will be on the line if this latest scheme fails.

I give the guy a lot of credit but I think he inherited too many problems for things to work out quickly. He has said it will take years but I am not sure people will have enough will power to wait it out. I hope I'm wrong.

Thanks @Larry. I thought this was a good article. The article was correct about having two main goals. Lowering inflation and getting the economy going. Doing terrific on the inflation issue but this recession just seems really deep. If things don't turn around by the end of the year for sure Caputo will have to quit.

I just think the guy is too much of a narcissist. He can say whatever he wants and act like a jerk with China, Spain, Brazil but when the Vice President speaks her mind she is criticized by his sister. There is no consistency. Things are starting to unravel. Milei wasted too much time and money flying around the world. Some trips made sense but many of them do not. Going to Paris to watch the Olympics makes NO sense at all to do. He is out of touch with the typical Argentinean person who is struggling.
