After the versions crossed with the dialogue deputies about the negotiation of the Omnibus law, in Casa Rosada they say that the leaders lied. The Minister of the Interior told the President and his peers that this tax change had not even been discussed last night at the meeting at the CFI.

This morning's Cabinet meeting took place just hours after the tensions and crossed versions between the governors and the Casa Rosada due to what was discussed at the meeting held yesterday at the CFI, where they tried to unblock the Omnibus law. The dialoguist provincial leaders said last night not only that there had been talk of sharing the COUNTRY Tax, but that the Executive, through Minister Guillermo Francos , had given approval to that possibility. However, shortly after, people around Javier Milei came out to deny it.

This morning, in the usual conclave in the palace of the national government, Francos conveyed to the president and the rest of the team in the White Room of the Government House that last night there was no type of reference to that tribute that the governors wanted to introduce in the negotiation. This despite the fact that last night at least 10 governors and deputies expressed that this issue had been put on the table.

Milei, they let the Government know, supported the political minister in front of his peers, and insisted: “ The PAIS tax is not negotiated .” Shortly after, the Government announced that the provincial leaders "lied", not only regarding the approval or not of that point, but also when saying that it had been discussed in the conclave last night. “That issue was not even talked about,” said an official.
Far from an understanding with the governors, who are eager for the collection to be compensated through other means, the Government still assures that the session in Deputies is not at risk, which was scheduled for today but was postponed until tomorrow due to lack of consensus. They maintain that they have the necessary votes to obtain a quorum, even after the talks became muddied last night, when Milei called the dialogueists an “extortion bloc” and strained the relationship with Congress to the maximum.

The Office of the President - Milei's official communication - had to come out to clarify the reports about an agreement between the dialogue blocks and the Minister of the Interior for the sharing of the Country Tax.
