In July, the construction of a building of just over 1,000 m2 in total on horizontal property with 8 floors, yielded an initial budget that was above 1.2 billion pesos.
Construction costs measured in pesos continued to slow down its rate of increase, especially in relation to the rates recorded during the first two months of the year. In the seventh month of the year, the increase in relation to the previous month was 2.61%.
As a result of the evolution of the exchange rate, which was around 11% compared to June, there was a reduction in the cost of building a square meter in dollars, which reached 7.92% compared to the previous month.
Thus, taking the parallel market quotation of the US currency, the cost per salable m2 was reduced to 1,174.8 U$S and the total value to be invested in the construction of the typical building was located slightly above 920 thousand dollars.
