The newest and most modern neighborhood in the City of Buenos Aires, characterized by its luxury towers, seeks to relate in a different way to what surrounds it: Oceana is the answer. With artistic intervention in common spaces, high-end design and pieces by Leo Battistelli and Elba Byron incorporated from the architectural plan, this development shows us that art is no longer an addition, but rather a value when conceiving projects of excellence. and quality.
The concept of Oceana is to offer a different lifestyle within the area, where beauty is part of daily comforts. Its low 8-story buildings have panoramic views of the gardens and water that surrounds it. In addition, its strategic location connects the development with Dam 2, generating a connection with the natural environment that is different from the rest of the buildings. “Oceana is located in what would be the residential lung of Puerto Madero, surrounded by towers that are landmarks. But unlike them, which run parallel to the dam, this development does so vertically towards the water, generating a large space in the middle and a sector of continuous green, which goes from side to side of the complex," he says. Marcos de Achaval, director of Achaval Cornejo.
Developed by Consultatio, Oceana is a brand already established in the United States where the union between art and water is the protagonist, combined with the characteristic imprint and style of Eduardo Costantini. It first landed on the coasts of Florida, in Bal Harbor and Key Biscayne, arrived in Puerto Madero and will soon be consolidated in Nordelta. This line of projects expresses the quality standards of the Eduardo Costantini developer, where a unique location, a construction of excellence and sustainability criteria come together to rediscover spaces through new forms of connection with their environments.
This project with an artistic axis is also Costantini's first creative partnership with Alan Faena, a leader in that area of the city, and with Brandon Haw Architecture. “In addition to its concept and location, Oceana is a new architectural icon due to the design of its green areas, its interior and exterior quality, and its artistic imprint. It has 8 floors and 7,100 square meters of green,” defines Marcos de Achaval.
In a development of this type the “common areas” are not ordinary at all. An art program was devised for the design and intervention of Oceana Puerto Madero, in which eight Latin American artists participated who created site-specific pieces taking into account the furniture, orientation and stylistic characteristics of the buildings.
The works selected for the central plaza, for example, link the architecture of the two buildings with a large reflecting pool, support for Leo Battistelli's star maps, which invite you to admire the astrological navigation of the sky over the Río de la Plata. At the same time, this piece is in dialogue with bronze sculptures by Elba Bairon, with abstract shapes to represent the connection of timeless landscapes in the middle of the city. At the entrance to the towers you can also see the mobiles by Daniel Joglar, and the artistic proposal of the internal spaces is complemented by works by artists such as Federico Lanzi, Lola Goldstein, Alejandra Seeber, Karina Peisajovich and the video installation by Juan Solanas in the main corridors.
In addition to the art, the two buildings stand out for the large spaces and high-end construction details present in all units. These are apartments with 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedrooms, between 82 and 630 m2, with large balconies and open views. On its last floors are the penthouses with terraces and private pools.
The central park is illuminated by the area of top-quality amenities, presenting new perspectives between interior and exterior spaces. In addition to the green areas and the art program, Oceana has a pool and jacuzzi on the rooftop, heated indoor pool, SUM, covered grills, gym and changing rooms, coworking space, golf simulator, lounge area, wellness area, drop off courtesy area and parking, among others. It is also EDGE certified for using sustainable materials and construction systems.
