The party's national committee ruled on the President's statements, which described the legislators who rejected the omnibus law in Congress as “traitors” and “criminals.”

Through a statement, the UCR spoke out about Javier Milei 's accusations against several space deputies after the rejection of the omnibus law yesterday, during its particular discussion in Congress. “There is a generalized incitement to violence against those who think differently that must end,” said the authorities of the party chaired by Senator Martín Lousteau .

“Having the courage to undertake reforms does not imply insulting, shouting and thinking that only one is right. Nor is it being cruel with insults against those who express different opinions,” was stated in a text spread on social networks. And they completed: “Argentina needs temperance and balance to achieve consensus that survives over time and definitively resolves the problems we face. That is the way.”

Once the parliamentary course of the law was known, which must now restart its treatment in committees, Milei made a strong defense to a group of Argentine businessmen, within the framework of his official tour in Israel, where he described them as “criminals” who “They want a worse Argentina” because “they are not willing to give up their privileges.”

In parallel, the President shared on social networks lists of names and photos of each of the legislators who voted against several articles of the law, and called them “traitors” and “enemies of a better Argentina . ”

The radical Martín Tetaz , in dialogue with La Red , replied to this accusation and maintained: “ It gives the impression that the Government never wanted the law to pass .” One saw it throughout the discussion, with the Government trying to break everything and the constructivist blocks trying to contribute.”

Martín Tetaz analyzed what happened in Congress with the Omnibus Law
“The law completely died. There were a lot of people who built the consensus to approve the opinion in committee and to get the general vote in favor that began to appear on blacklists from official government accounts last night. An unusual thing, you have to go to Chávez's Venezuela to find something like that. That is the Venezuela of Cháves, the idea that there is a people and an anti-people,” he lamented.

In turn, the radical bloc of national deputies issued a statement in which they highlight the need to rebuild “dialogues and consensus.” “We cannot repeat the mistakes of the past and fall into extremes and facilities. It is essential to respect the institutions, the division of powers and their normal functioning. The accusations and the division between friends and enemies are not the way to find the agreements that are fundamental today, especially if they are not published by official government media,” they noted.

Adorni: “The President said he was going to expose the lies”

Manuel Adorni: "At some point the law will become a reality"
In addition to ratifying the statements of Minister Luis Caputo that what happened with the Omnibus Law did not affect the Government's economic plan, the presidential spokesperson, Manuel Adorni, defended the publication that was made from the X social network account of the Office of Presidency with a list of how each deputy voted.

There was some discomfort regarding the mention of the deputies who voted against. I would like to clarify that the information that was provided is public information, you can see it on the website of the Chamber of Deputies. And the president always said that he was going to expose the lies, that his commitment is to the people and that he was always going to defend the truth and moral honesty . All that was done was to expose public information. “Everyone will be able to make their own guesses,” explained Adorni.

“Everything is necessary and urgent, so this thing about me voting for this thing and not that… There are 144 legislators who voted in favor of the law in general. Each of the Argentines can go to review the list of what happened to each of them in the particular vote. Furthermore, many of those legislators who modified their intention to change were legislators who were voted for the change a few months ago,” the spokesperson insisted.
