It is perfect to have a picnic in the middle of the city or to relax for a while, since it has a lot of grass where people can sit and enjoy. It also has a beautiful gazebo where most of the time there are people doing some activity.

Until the middle of the 19th century, the Río de la Plata reached the foot of these ravines. The embankment of the Mitre Railroad, built at that time, served to contain the waters and dry the land. In the ravines there are more than 60 species of plants, such as ombúes, palms, magnolias, oaks, honeysuckles and ceibos. Among the sculptures (many dating from the 19th century) there is a replica of the Statue of Liberty made by the author of the original, the Frenchman Frédéric Bartholdi. In the upper part of the park there is a gazebo where orchestras used to play and nowadays tango and folklore dances are performed on Sundays.

As always it was a beautiful walk through Barrancas Belgrano, all clean. Stairs and lawns, beautiful monuments. Glorieta, the whole Barranca, with the lawn well cut, and large groups of people sitting and drinking mate, no bottles thrown or grass full of cigarette butts, all very well kept.
