Percentage of bald men by countries

Argentina ranked 43rd of 47 countries represented.

When I was there I don't recall too many bald Argentines and the ones who were, were all foreigners. Surprising though, Spain and Italy at 1 and 2 baldest, whereas Argentina sits at 43 considering the heavy influence.
Argentina has a lot of bald men. But few know that many have hair transplants. Turkey gets all the press but Argentina has a lot of hair transplant centers. Several of my friends have gotten the surgery in Buenos Aires.

I have a few friends from Argentina that are bald but not too many. Surprised to see Spain and Italy at the top of the list.

Very true. In fact, the bald friends that I have did the hair transplant surgery in Buenos Aires. You are right Wally that BA has a lot of centers. In fact, one of my good friend's family owns many franchises there in BA of hair transplant centers.

I went to Istanbul a few months ago and wow was I surprised just how many men go there for surgery. Everywhere you go you see men that had the surgery. At the airport there it was literally all full with men that just did the surgery. Same as at my hotel for breakfast in the morning it was probably 50% full with men that just had the surgery.

Same! I just went to Istanbul and my hotel was full of tourists getting it done. Same at airport. I was surprised. I had no idea it was like that.

Interesting. I wonder how they even make these statistical charts. Half the time I think they are just made up.
Many of the infographics floating out there are just not accurate or based on anything that is accurate. This survey says it's from some company named Medihair. Maybe they are just taking samples from their own patients or buying information from DNA companies which isn't going to get accurate results because many people don't use DNA services.

I'm not sure how many bald men there are in Argentina, but I do know that hair transplants have become a trend since last year. More and more men are undergoing aesthetic treatments, breaking the myth that such procedures make them less masculine. This shift toward aesthetics reflects a cultural change in how beauty and personal care are perceived, which is very important here.

Interesting that it's become such a trend here, Turkey seems to be the main destination, but never would've known Argentina to be such a hot spot as well. Maybe as one of those unfortunate to be able to grow one, one day I'll get a full on beard transplant haha. Anyone have a rough estimate on pricing??

Yeah I have several friends that got it done in Buenos Aires. The last one that I spoke to did it last year and he paid $4,000 but with inflation I don't know how much that has gone up. Inflation has been brutal but I'm not sure how much they can realistically raise things because if they go too high men will just go to Turkey to do it.

The transformation was pretty wild. I went to an asado and haven't seen my friend for many years. He formally lived in the USA but moved back to BA. He looked much better than even when I first met him 20 years ago. He was completely bald but now has a full head of hair so maybe his was more expensive.

I heard in Istanbul it is very cheap. Medical tourism in Turkey has become extremely popular. I was still amazed at all the men with bandages on their heads at the airport and the hotel.

Did a quick search and according to another post, transplants are still relatively inexpensive.
This one states $2k and like you said maybe bc your friend was completely bald he needed more grafts

Wow that seems really cheap. Luckily I have a full head of hair but a few friends in the States are looking to have it done. That sounds like Turkey kind of prices. I wonder how BA's stack up against Istanbul?

Wow that is a fraction of what they charge in the States. A friend just got it done in LA and he spent a fortune. My property manager of my apartment did it at Hair Recovery in Buenos Aires and was very happy. He looks like a different person with all that hair.
