Here's a review of this restaurant that specializes in traditional food from our country. This weekend, many will want to enjoy patriotic dishes, so I thought it was a great option. It has excellent reviews on Google and remains a classic that continues to win over palates.

La Morada

@lamoradaregional is a historic house of empanadas and regional cuisine with two locations, one in Recoleta and another in downtown. For this review, I visited the downtown location, which has been declared a Site of Cultural Interest by the CABA Legislature.

They describe their locations as Resto-Bar-Museum because everything is decorated with objects from our childhood memories to give the place the feel of a neighborhood store. They started with cans, glass bottles, photos from old magazines, signage, and collectible items like a cash register from the 1920s, clocks, and furniture.

🔥 Among the variety of empanadas you can find in Buenos Aires, the traditional homemade style best represents Argentine cuisine. These empanadas, which seem like a family recipe, can only be described as INCREDIBLE! This is the case with La Morada, a place with Catamarqueñas-style empanadas that ranks in my top 3 best empanada spots in Buenos Aires.

La Morada was founded at the end of 1999 by Carlos, a missionary with over 20 years of experience in making regional food. He decided to open his first location in Recoleta, offering empanadas and typical Argentine dishes.

🙌🏻 Carlos arrives at the location at 5:30 am to make the dough and fillings for the empanadas. He is a fan of knife-cut beef and potato empanadas, seasoned with cumin, and baked in the oven. The dough is yellow because they make it with eggs and a syrup of sautéed vegetables. La Morada serves classic empanadas, like beef and ham and cheese, as well as some exotic ones like the Pikachu, which combines two types of cheese with locoto chili and cayenne pepper.

✅ They offer a 10% discount when paying in cash. Each 🥟 costs $1600. They also sell lentil stew for $6900, shepherd's pie for $6000, individual tarts for $4800, and locro for $6900.

On May 25th, you can find all their regional food at their Recoleta location.
