River Monumental
The Monumental is the stadium that belongs to the Club Atlético River Plate, it is the largest court in Argentina and is among the ten largest in Latin America. It is estimated that it has capacity for more than 65,000 spectators. It was inaugurated in 1938 and only in 1958 was the north stand built, reaching a record capacity of 100,000 spectators at that time, then with the new rules for spectators that capacity was lowered. The last major modification was in 1978 for the World Cup that was held in the country when the upper tray was built in the north stand and the lower stands were remodeled. Next to the stadium are the club's other sports facilities such as a training place, basketball courts, swimming pool, etc.
