The National Government and representatives of the two unions that bring together national state workers (the Association of State Workers and the Union of Civil Personnel of the Nation) agreed to an increase of 16% for salaries for the month of January in the Public Administration National.

It was after a meeting they held to update the sector's joint agreement on the third floor of the headquarters of the Ministry of Labor, at 100 Callao Avenue. The signing of the minutes took place hours before the deadline for settle salaries, so it was guaranteed that salaries for the month of January were paid with the established increase.
The meeting took place just 5 days before the 12-hour strike called by the General Confederation of Labor and after the Executive Branch announced that it will discount the day for those who adhere to the measure of force. Despite the agreement reached, the unions confirmed that they will go on strike on Wednesday, January 24.

"Although the understanding allows us to recover the salary loss of December and stay above the accumulated annual inflation, it is not enough to modify our decision to go on strike," said the Secretary General of ATE, Rodolfo Aguiar.

Yesterday, Aguiar had posted on the social network X, formerly Twitter, that public employees "we are 3.5 million (national, provincial and municipal) and the average salary is $259,643, while the basic basket of December stood at $495,798″.

This average salary too low. We must demand higher wage increase but Milei say no more money. :(
