After Javier Milei's criticisms to the Government, Cristina Kirchner issued a long document with criticisms to the Government, including harsh words towards the Minister of Economy, Luis "Toto" Caputo. Caputo responded to Kirchner's criticisms, highlighting that the debt accumulated in the last 16 years was due to previous economic policies. Kirchner, in turn, mentioned Caputo's family connections with a previous incident. Both exchanged public messages on social networks. Kirchner also criticized the government's economic plan and argued that the main cause of inflation in Argentina is the shortage of dollars and excessive indebtedness in that currency. He referred to a report by the Argentine Institute of Fiscal Analysis and highlighted the importance of generating counter-cyclical funds to avoid repeated monetary issuance. He also pointed out that the years of fiscal surplus occurred during Peronist and industrialist governments, which understood the importance of managing foreign debt to control inflation.
