Newcomer SUBE Question

Hi everyone! I have a question about the SUBE card. If I register my card with a foreign passport, should I get the regular price, or is there a difference? I noticed that prices went up a few weeks ago for unregistered cards, so I registered mine ten days ago. However, I'm still being charged more than I expected. Is it just bad luck, or are foreigners paying more from now on? Should I go back to the office where I registered to ask?

First I would login at SUBE website and check if everything seems alright. You can see the recent travels and info about your card like if you're registered or have any discounts etc.

Otherwise I would go back and ask. You should be paying the regular price. But note that the regular price changes on your usage. For example after a specific number of trips it gets cheaper and resets every month.

Yes, just a passport is enough to register the cards. The price is the same for locals and foreigners; there’s no difference in that.

Try registering it again through the website. If it's already registered, it will tell you at the end of the process. It's strange that, after going in person, the registration still isn't completed. You can also call 0800-777-7823, option 3, though I'm not sure if they have English-speaking staff. The fare is the same for both foreigners and locals.
