The general secretary of the Aeronautical Personnel Association (APA), Edgardo Llano , spoke during an assembly with retention of tasks at Aeroparque and sent a message to all workers, asking them to “continue making the effort.”
We are going to hold a large assembly throughout the country, until we stop with the privatization of Aerolíneas Argentinas. On the 9th we are going to stop all flights in the country, national and foreign companies. We know that it is a difficult time, we know what it represents for the workers, but to have presenteeism, we have to have a job and to have a job, we have to have a company," the union leader assured the protesters.
And he added: “ We are not going to be intimidated by the companies and the Government that pressure us with the day and the discount. "We are going to fight until the company is definitively owned by the State."
“As we did in 2001 and 2008, they are not going to break us. We are going to put up all the fights we have to put up. And we are all together for those fights. I call on you to continue making the effort,” said Llano.

In the midst of the protest that forced flights to be rescheduled this Monday, the union intransigence made a violent threat to the senators . The head of the Aeronautical Personnel Association (APA), Edgardo Llanos , said that each of the senators who vote in favor of the Bases Law will be “ scratched” when he boards an Aerolíneas Argentinas plane. “We are going to explain to the passengers every time one of these senators travels that they are betraying the popular mandates ,” said the unionist in the middle of the assembly held by the workers at the Jorge Newbery Metropolitan Airport, where they oppose the privatization of the flag airline.

The general secretary of the Argentine Confederation of Transport Workers (CATT) and general secretary of the Railway Union, Sergio Sasia, explained the measure of force that was carried out by the railway sector.
“We had made the decision to hold these assemblies to talk to the workers of the different modes of transportation. Today we are not going to affect the usual train service ,” said the union member in dialogue with Futuröck.
Furthermore, he explained: “ We want to complain to the executive but not affect the usual travel of passengers .” There is a lack of investment in the railways, there are fewer locomotives and fewer cars, which generates agglutination of users.”
We are going to accompany the strike on Thursday . He did not give the material time to organize a mobilization during the debate on the Base Law. Surely we are going to talk about a possible mobilization for the day when the law is debated in the Senate. We are going to present a bill for the development of the railway system ,” Sasia concluded.

Ricardo Cirielli: “We are going to defend Aerolíneas Argentinas”

Workers of Arolíneas Argentinas ask for the non-privatization of the company (Adrián Escandar)
The general secretary of APTA, Ricardo Cirielli, spoke this Monday about the forceful measure carried out by the airports, in defense of the state company, Aerolíneas Argentinas.
“ There is a claim that is repetitive, which is to defend Aerolíneas Argentinas. Because the policy that Milei is applying is the same one that Menem applied. Airlines has already been privatized twice, both privatizations failed and it will fail again ,” the leader explained to the media present.
He also maintained: “ We are asking the Senators to be aware that we must defend the communication that exists with the provinces and with all the needs that exist in the interior of the country. And we are telling the radical bloc that they betrayed their ideals by supporting the Bases Law .”
“We are going to do everything possible to defend Aerolíneas Argentinas, so that they understand that this Government is emptying the country. Opening the skies in the aeronautical part is like opening imports, because foreign companies are going to come and take the passengers and the dollars .”
Likewise, Cirielli confirmed that they will join the general strike on May 9. “ We are going to adhere to the CGT strike and there will be a 24-hour strike, on all flights . We are also defending Intercargo, which is a company that they want to privatize but that makes profits. “This is an encroachment on all workers' rights ,” he stated.

Pablo Moyano: “It is no coincidence that the mobilizations are increasingly forceful”

Pablo Moyano

This Monday, the general secretary of the CGT, Pablo Moyano , spoke of the sector's support for the forceful measures of the Argentine Confederation of Transport Workers (CATT).
We are holding assemblies that the Argentine Confederation of Transport Workers (CATT) has called in all its modalities in Aeroparque, in the ports, taxi drivers, many groups, some railway lines and, of course, truckers,” said the unionist. in dialogue with LN+.
And he added: “ It is in rejection of the attempt to carry out the labor reform in the Senate, where the workers are once again the adjustment, through the implementation of the income tax again, of eliminating compensation, in rejection of privatizing Airlines Argentinas and AySA. Reject the retirement moratorium, where many will have to increase the age to be able to collect the pittance of retirements .”
For his part, he also made reference to the national strike called for next Thursday, May 9. “There are many facts that are in the Omnibus law that are rejected by a large part of the CGT and the Argentine people. It is no coincidence that the mobilizations are increasingly forceful, more massive and on Thursday we will see a very forceful national strike ,” said Moyano.
Furthermore, he clarified: “ There was no negotiation between the CGT and the Government .” The victory will be when this Omnibus law is rejected, where it targets collective labor agreements, because this is not about Moyano, Daer or Palazzo. “It is about destroying the Argentine union model.”
If not for the UTA, the drivers will stop, but it will be a forceful stoppage of all activities .” Ask a bus driver if he agrees with this Government,” said Pablo Moyano.
And he stated: “ Thousands of bus drivers who talk to me every day are going to stop , so we don't care what the company says.”

The general secretary of the Railway Union Sect. Oeste, Rubén “Pollo” Sobrero, made reference this Monday to the assemblies held by railway workers and the complications that they can bring to the normality of the service.
“The service is being guaranteed. There may be train delays, because obviously colleagues are arriving. It is going to be a very large assembly. It is the only one on all the railroads, because the other lines have not called,” said the union member in dialogue with América.
In that sense, he added: “What the colleagues decide here is going to be very important because it has to do with what happened on Thursday and it has to do with the treaty of the law in the Senate, where we are going to propose to the colleagues that Let's accompany that day."
“In the assembly what will be discussed are different proposals, to see how we continue. We attach great importance to the May 9 strike. But we also want to propose to our colleagues that they march on the day it is discussed in the Senate. I found out that there are proposals from some colleagues in the workshops for the strike to be active, that this is also going to be put into consideration and good, and then give it continuity," the leader concluded.
Likewise, Sobrero insisted on the need to march the day the National Senate discusses the Bases Law in Congress. “We are going to mobilize with all the workers. We are being attacked by a far-right government and we workers have to defend ourselves. They impose labor flexibility on you that goes against all labor laws. “It is a plan that goes against the workers and the middle class,” he said.

The head of the National Road Workers Union, Graciela Aleña, explained this Monday the arguments that led the sector she represents to join the forceful measures , called by the Argentine Confederation of Transport Workers (CATT) .
“We have been in an assembly for more than a month because of the layoffs. There is abuse towards workers. The Government treats us like garbage. What this Government is doing is a disaster. The bullets are entering us from all sides,” said the union leader in communication with AM 750.
Likewise, he said: " I had breakfast that the Government wants to hire private companies so that they can carry out Road Traffic tasks ."
“This is going to end with people taking to the streets ,” he concluded.

And he added: “ We need a plan of struggle for the Labor Movement .”

This Monday, the State Workers Association (ATE) carries out a day of struggle that could affect flights at 24 airports throughout the country. This is why Aerolíneas Argentinas reported that, due to the assemblies without service provision promoted by the CATT (Argentine Confederation of Transport Workers), to which the aeronautical unions APLA (Airline Pilots Association) and AAA ( Argentine Aircraft Association) , rescheduled about 20 flights between 8 and 11 this Monday , thus avoiding cancellations and with the least possible harm to our passengers.

Trains and buses operate normally

Sergio Sasia , general secretary of the Railway Union, confirmed that the assemblies arranged by the railway unions (UF, the signalmen and those of the hierarchical staff) will not interrupt train services during this Monday, May 6.
In dialogue with Infobae , Sasia, also general secretary of the Argentine Confederation of Transport Workers (CATT), expressed: “Based on the CATT plenary session that was held opportunely, it was decided to hold assemblies for different topics and the agenda that is late And each union or activity implements the methodology that it believes is most convenient for this .” In fact, in a statement issued by the CATT, they clarified that “ these assemblies in no way represent direct action measures or a stoppage of activities .”
Likewise, the confederation clarified that the Unión Tranviarios Automotor (UTA) is not among the unions that bring together the Argentine Confederation of Transport Workers, so the bus service will not be affected by this measure.

Juan Carlos Schmid: “With the assemblies, there is an impact on the services”

1715015624031.png
Juan Carlos Schmid (NA)

The deputy secretary of the Argentine Confederation of Transport Workers (CATT), Juan Carlos Schmid, explained this Monday how transport services will be affected after the call for a union assembly for today morning.
"We held a national plenary session in the month of March, and there we decided that in the month of April, which should have been carried out, we were going to hold simultaneous assemblies in all modes of transport to demand the DNU, the non-approval of the parity, at that stage, and the income tax. The assemblies were going to be held between 7 and 10 in the morning, and each mode of transportation was going to adapt to that directive. This is what is happening today,” said the union leader in dialogue with Eduardo Feinmann's Miter radio program .
And he explained: “There has been a lot of confusion, it is true that there was never talk of any strike, but rather of this modality. That was what happened. The strike is on Thursday, but if there are assemblies, logically there is a paralysis of the service or there is an impact on the service. The Fraternity and the UTA are not in the confederation (CATT) . But in groups there are problems for different reasons. And the Railway Union has stated that it is going to take a different modality .”
Likewise, Schmid clarified next Thursday whether the stoppage of activities will be total. “Thursday is a cessation of activities for 24 hours. I think it will affect all activities in general. Paralyzing the country completely is never good news, what happens is that political representation has never considered it that way. It doesn't matter what government is in. When it stops completely it is because the dialogue has failed,” he said.
