Tandil continues to grow in population
One of the most popular destinations for Argentines to spend a long weekend in the province of Buenos Aires is, without a doubt, Tandil , either for its famous salami or for its landscapes. Globant , the company that became an official partner of Williams Racing , also chose it, but not to spend a weekend, but to settle in .
It was 17 years ago when this city was chosen by one of the most important software companies in the region and in 2023 when the first building built and designed by them was inaugurated , in which US$17 million was invested . Before, they rented or used already built offices.
This construction was presented to the public in March 2023 and achieved LEED Premium certification with the highest score achieved in the country, demonstrating that the building is committed to the implementation of renewable energy systems, efficient lighting, as well as ecological heating and cooling systems.

There are only a few buildings in Argentina that have managed to achieve this level of certification : the Altman Eco Office building in Buenos Aires - the first to achieve this -, the Tango building of SC Johnson & Son Argentina in San Isidro, the L'Oréal Argentina distribution center in Tigre and the Coca Cola corporate building in Saavedra.
In addition to being sustainable, it matches the spirit of the area : the fact that the project was designed from the beginning to take care of the environment and the potential, both human and real estate, was no coincidence.
“ The original project included eight levels, but it was reduced to four . In any case, the foundations and main columns are designed to be continued if it is decided to expand it,” says Gustavo Llambías, director of works and partner of Real Estate Developers SA (RED), the firm in charge of the construction management and technical management of the project.

“ Since the establishment of the Globant smart building, there has been a very interesting movement in the entire market. In fact, there are more and more residential buildings . On the one hand, economic groups began to build sustainable buildings with high technology, marking some milestones of modernity in construction,” says Ariel de Mayolas, broker at Century 21 Gorri, in Tandil.
In this regard, Lautaro Cerone, Manager of the Real Estate Division of Grupo Faro Verde, a developer with more than 17,000 square meters under construction, says: “Personally, I notice that Tandil has grown a lot in recent years , and with the presence of these companies and developers, they undoubtedly drive that development . These investments not only generate employment, but also attract talent and foster an innovative environment .”
