Great news for Argentinians: starting at age 13, teenagers will be able to invest in the stock market. Of course, this activity must be supervised and authorized by their parents. I think this is a fantastic initiative! I also heard that schools will be teaching finance. I call this progress!

Not sure this is so much about individuals starting young vs. wealthy families being able to open different accounts for their kids. I haven't read enough about this. I set up custodial accounts for my kids in the USA when they were young so it may be similar.

I understand your point of view. It's true that the ability to invest from a young age may be more accessible for families with resources, especially if they already have custodial accounts set up, as you mentioned in the case of the U.S. However, this new measure in Argentina could open doors for many teenagers who previously didn't have the opportunity to diversify their investments. While not all young people will have the same advantages, the regulation allows for broader access to the capital market, which could benefit more kids overall.
