Tennis club recommendations?

Hi all, I'm looking for a good club to join to learn how to play tennis. A lot of the clubs I've seen are very exclusive and invite only. I'd like to join a club that has a gym, pool, restaurant, and activities like tennis and padel. Preferably in Belgrano or Palermo area.

Any recommendations?!

I think most of the tennis clubs are members only. My girlfriend plays at GEBA. She isn't a member but she takes lessons there with one of the coaches. She used a great guy named Alejandro. He has been around for a while. I think he charges about $25 US per hour but he can help you get a court there. I don't know if he speaks English. I think my girlfriend said he only speaks Castallano. I'm not sure if it's ok to post numbers here but she said he doesn't mind to post his #. His WhatsApp is +54 9 11 5524-2124

When my sister is here she goes to a few different ones. GEBA you can access with a tennis coach like @Digital Nomad mentions. But it's easy to find a coach there.

She also goes to this one that is open to the public.

Circuito-KDT (Ex-KDT)
Located in Parque Manuel Belgrano, this public facility is ideal for short-term visitors.
  • 8 red clay tennis courts
  • 1 hard court
  • Pay-per-play option without membership requirement
  • Reasonable fees

Other Accessible Clubs

  1. Costa Rica Gym & Tennis: Located at Costa Rica 4863, this club offers well-maintained courts

  2. El Abierto Tennis Club: Situated at Galván 3920, it features good hard courts

  3. Villa Tennis: Found at C. Estado Plurinacional de Bolivia 2233, this is another option for tennis enthusiasts

  4. A.G.Tenis-Argentina: Located at Club Obras, Av. del Libertador 7273, this club also offers tennis facilities.
There are other private clubs but you have to have a member guest you in.

This is a good list. Also a good trick that you can sometimes do is say you are moving to BA and want to check out the club. Sometimes the head of sales will let you try a day pass. Clubs like the BA Lawn Tennis Club or Tennis Club Argentino. Just call or WhatsApp the Club directly and they can usually explain what is and is not available.

Thanks will contact him.

My friend goes there. Not too big but it is going to work for many. @CraigM did you also play there without your instructor? Do they allow people to just pay a fee and play there?
Not sure Vince, I was only there with an instructor. I'm not an avid tennis player it was just something fun to do in BA. I enjoyed biking there as much as the tennis!

My instructor worked at Sport Club Obras, which is near GEBA but a much smaller facility.
Yes, my kids have also played here before. They also play at GEBA with a tennis coach when they are in town. My daughter has played Varsity tennis since she was a Freshman in high school.
