Manuel Adorni announced that the Government will dissolve the AFIP.
The Government announced on Monday the dissolution of the AFIP and the creation in its place of the Tax Collection and Customs Control Agency (ARCA) , with “a simplified structure” composed of the General Directorates of Taxes and Customs.
This was announced by presidential spokesman Manuel Adorni, at a press conference in which questions were not accepted from accredited journalists, as is usually the case.
"Throughout its existence, this organization has functioned as a political box and, as we all know, it has subjected many Argentines to completely immoral persecutions ," said Adorni.
" The Argentina of fiscal voracity is over . What belongs to each Argentine is theirs and no one else's, no state bureaucrat has the right to delegate the power to tell them what to do with their property ," added the spokesman, who then cited the principles of liberalism pronounced by President Javier Milei during his inauguration.

"The creation of ARCA aims to reduce the size of the State, eliminate unnecessary positions, professionalize the entity, destroy corrupt circuits, and improve the efficiency of tax collection and customs control ," the Executive Branch said in a statement.
The new state agency will be headed by Florencia Misrahi , who until Monday held the position of head of the AFIP. In addition, Andrés Gerardo Vázquez will be the new head of the DGI , while José Andrés Velis will do the same with the DGA.
The decision will reduce the number of senior positions by 45% and the number of junior positions by 31% . In total, 34% of the public positions in the structure will be eliminated.
On the other hand, senior officials will no longer receive the "hierarchical account" , for which the head of the organization received a salary of $32 million and the directors $17 million per month, and will start receiving ministerial salaries , which are around four million pesos.
In turn, 3,155 employees who joined AFIP during the last administration "irregularly" will be relocated and made available.
According to the spokesman, this new structure would generate budget savings of $6.4 billion annually.
