The vice governor, Gisela Scaglia, criticized the President's statements, which attributed the advance of criminal organizations to the efforts of the Socialist Party. Tension amid the escalation of violence and insecurity in Rosario

Gisela Scaglia crossed Javier Milei for linking socialism with drug trafficking in a heated debate.
In the midst of the security crisis that Rosario is experiencing due to homicides linked to drug trafficking, the province of Santa Fe added a point of tension with the Government . President Javier Milei blamed the efforts of the Socialist Party (PS) for the advance of drug-criminal gangs .

Having given so much credit to the socialists is not free, everything they touch they destroy ,” Milei accused yesterday in an interview , referring to the acts of violence in Rosario by criminal organizations, after the drug escalation that occurred in the last few days and which led to the murder of two taxi drivers, a bus driver and a beachgoer. And he added: “If you give them the economy, they bankrupt you; If you give him security, these kinds of things happen .”

These definitions produced discomfort among the ranks of Maximiliano Pullaro, who was Minister of Security of the socialist governor Miguel Lifschitz between 2015 and 2019 and, in addition, has a political alliance with the PS to manage the province.

“I cannot endorse that statement by the President. And it seems to me that the President is wrong about these things. "These are statements that do not help at all , I would recommend that you be more careful," responded today Lieutenant Governor Gisela Scaglia , in a report with Aire de Santa Fe

The press conference led by Pullaro this Monday was a postcard of political unity with the national government , after the tension over the negotiations with the Omnibus Law. In fact, Milei also accused socialism because he took “the side of the criminals” by voting against the Base Law that included the security emergency. But those short circuits did not prevent the governor from the UCR, the Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich , and the Minister of Defense, Luis Petri, from sitting together . Also in the room were the head of the Chamber of Deputies of Santa Fe, Clara García, and the Santa Fe Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Enrique Estévez , two of the members of the Socialist Party.

“In Santa Fe we all have to pull in the same direction. And there was determination to fight when Miguel Lifschitz was governor and Mauricio Macri was president. The numbers had gone down and a lot had been achieved at that time. I wouldn't think that about people who in the Legislature vote with us on laws so that we are tougher in controlling the prison system,” Scaglia stressed about the cooperation that the current local government maintains with the Socialist Party.

In this context of crossed noise, Minister Patricia Bullrich confirmed in the last few hours that Javier Milei will travel to Rosario in two weeks. The official, who coordinates the emergency operation that was mounted after the attacks perpetrated by hitmen, stressed that the national leader "comes because he wants to give him the imprint that is needed for security and the fight against drug trafficking."

In this climate, marked by uncertainty due to organized crime attacks, political distrust and the need for results, Milei and Pullaro will meet to face the crisis. For Gisela Scaglia, in any case, the political situation is better to fight the mafias, although she admitted that resources are scarce . “This week we are going to incorporate 900 police officers who had completed their training in the previous administration. We are calling on retired forces who want to return to service so that they can secure public buildings and hospitals. We are also asking the Gendarmerie and federal forces,” she pointed out.

And he concluded: “ We forget that the four years of Kirchnerism left us here .” Alberto Fernández had said that the battle against drug trafficking 'they have already lost'. “Those people were in charge of the security of Argentina and those who had to investigate money laundering.”
