The Government received this Monday at the Casa Rosada the deputies of We Make the Federal Coalition, led by Miguel Ángel Pichetto , and the Radical Civic Union (UCR) to finish agreeing on some points of the Base Law before sending in the next few hours the draft to the rest of the opposition.
According to what different sources from the National Executive Branch told Infobae , one of the issues with which progress could be made is with the Income Tax, the issue that generated the most differences between the parties: finally, the non-taxable minimum for singles it will be 1,800,000 pesos, while for married people with two children, it will be $2,200,000 .
These will be the numbers that the national authorities will propose in the draft that they will “surely” deliver in the early hours of Tuesday to the governors and opposition bloc leaders for the final review.
As this media had already anticipated, the key for the ruling party with regard to this tax is in its progressiveness, which is why it was decided that the initial percentage (for those who barely exceed the floor) will be 5%, followed by 9% for the upper scale and then 12 and 16 percent.

Likewise, it is being studied that these scales are tied to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) , which is periodically prepared by INDEC, in order to take into account the effect of inflation on salaries.
The meetings at Balcarce 50 with HCF and the UCR were led, on the side of the national authorities, by the Chief of Staff, Nicolás Posse , the Minister of the Interior, Guillermo Francos , and the president of the Lower House, Martín Menem , who He arrived shortly before the conclave began.
Also present at the meetings - held in both cases in the Hall of Shields - was the executive secretary of the government of the Head of the Cabinet of Ministers, José Rolandi ; and the Secretary of the Interior, Lisandro Catalán .

Francos finished putting together this meeting on Sunday night, within the framework of talks with the different sectors closest to the positions of Javier Milei's administration. For this reason, in mid-March he had also met with the representatives of the Pichetto bloc and also with the representatives of the PRO, with Cristian Ritondo at the head, and the Radical Civic Union, who are willing to provide their support to the initiative governmental.
After the meeting that they had held on Thursday of last week with the 10 governors grouped in Together for Change with Francos, the Government had committed to sending Congress and the provincial leaders a new version of the so-called Bases Law.
What will happen with the project in Congress
According to sources from different areas, the Government hopes to discuss the set of reforms next week in a plenary session of commissions of the Chamber of Deputies, which will be made up of the same three areas that dealt with the matter last February: General Legislation, Affairs Constitutional and Treasury.In this sense, the ruling party considers that, although there are still several commissions that have not been formed, it is not necessary for them to be incorporated into the debate since the articles involved are even fewer than those that were in the original text.
The national authorities hope that the discussion will begin next Tuesday and estimate that it will last three days, so the final meeting is scheduled for Thursday, when a new opinion will be prepared that will allow the initiative to be voted on in an ordinary session in the venue, similar to this month.
Despite the rumors that have circulated recently, the fiscal package - which includes Profits - will be treated at the same time as the Base Law, since the Executive Branch seeks to have both projects approved at the same time.
According to reports, the new text of the Base Law will contain nearly 220 articles divided into 11 titles , when the original wording that was presented in January contained 664. To try to unblock its treatment, which had to be withdrawn from the debate in particular at the end of February, the Executive thinks about reducing Emergencies and powers from 11 to only 4: administrative , economic , financial and energy. In addition, there will be chapters referring to State Reform, incentives for large investments and the privatization of public companies.
