The complete description

Javier Milei, a radical libertarian economics professor and former television commentator with little government experience, won Argentina's presidency in a landslide in November, promising to pull the country back from the brink of economic collapse. His victory shocked pollsters and revealed the desperation of 46 million Argentines paralyzed by triple-digit inflation and a 40% poverty rate. 'There is no turning back,' the self-proclaimed 'anarcho-capitalist' told his supporters after his victory. 'The situation in Argentina is critical .'”

Milei, 53, has wasted no time. Warning Argentines to prepare for pain, he embarked on a 'shock therapy' campaign with hundreds of austerity measures: cutting 70,000 state jobs, cutting federal aid, halving the number of ministries and devaluation of the peso. Tens of thousands of protesters took to the streets .”

At the same time, Milei's profanity-laden tirades against Western 'socialists' - and the 'traitors' who challenge him in the Argentine legislature - have made him a global icon for the right. Although it is too early to know whether the new President's measures will be successful, it is clear that he has gotten one thing right: with Milei in power, Argentina will have no turning back ."

Also the singer Kylie Minogue , the actor Elliot Page , the film director Sofia Coppola , or the player of the Spanish women's team, Jenni Hermoso .

I thought Messi might be in it / Surely a bigger world following than Milei.
Actually, I think Milei's following is larger now. I have lived in Argentina a long time and my family or extended family never could remember the names of the current Argentine President. That is how much of a non-event it is. Now, all of them constantly ask me about Milei. They see him all over their local newspapers, national newspapers, international magazines, TV. Financial news channels. He is giving Argentines hope. He is probably THE most recognized Argentina president in the history of the country.

People from other countries are also following him because if he pulls this off, they will try it in other surrounding countries as well. So far so good.

Milei may go down later as one of the most important Presidents Argentina ever has had. He will definitely be in all the history books.
