The green and natural landscape of the Reserve is its main attraction.
Day after day, hundreds of Buenos Aires residents choose this place as the setting for their walks or physical activities. During the summer (November to March), the reserve is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
In addition to the free tours that can be taken, the Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve organizes free activities that allow visitors to discover first-hand this privileged environment within the city.

Guided tours (general public)

From Tuesday to Thursday, a team of guides leads visitors to the Reserve along trails that cover the 350 hectares to present some of the 575 species of plants that grow there and are home to dozens of animal species.

When? From Tuesday to Thursday, at 2 p.m.

Where? Guide cabin main entrance.

How long does the activity last? Approximately 2 hours.

The activity is free and does not require prior registration.

Summer night visits (groups and educational establishments)

You can take advantage of the good weather to get to know the Reserve at night. The guided tour takes place every Friday.

When? Every Friday, at 8 p.m.

Where? Guide hut at the main entrance.

How long does the activity last? Approximately 2 hours.

Guided night tour by moonlight

Once a month, on Fridays close to the full moon, guided night tours are held. Moonlight illuminates the trails and allows guides to lead visitors through a landscape that is completely new at night.

The walk lasts around 3 hours, so it is recommended that participants bring drinks and food to enjoy during a break. It is also very important to bring insect repellent and wear closed-toed shoes.

When? One Friday a month, at 8 p.m.

Where? Guide hut at the main entrance.

How long does the activity last? Approximately 3 hours.

The activity is free but with limited spaces. Prior registration required: if you want to participate, you have to register on the Mondays before the visit, starting at 8:00 a.m., by sending an email to visitaguiadas_recs@buenosaires.gob.ar. You can register up to 4 companions, of whom name, surname, age, document number and telephone number will be requested.

Guided tour of the native plant nursery

Every Friday in January, at 11 a.m. A tour of the nursery is done, what the function is and how it works.

When? Every Friday in January, at 11 a.m.

Where? Green gate of the nursery, in the Viamonte access.

How long does the activity last? Approximately 3 hours.

The activity is free and requires prior registration, which is done by sending an email to visitaguiadas_recs@buenosaires.gob.ar

IMPORTANT: bring comfortable shoes, mosquito repellent, sunscreen, hat, something to eat and something to drink. All activities are free and are suspended due to rain (or rain the day before), strong wind or weather alert.

for runners: the EcoParque is one of few places there is a public, free toilet! it's inside the park, and you can't bring dogs in the park (security guards at the entrance), and only can pee there when the gates are open during business hours, but it's been a lifesaver a couple times when i'm on a long run and need to take a tinkle in the middle (otherwise, you find a bunch of trees and try to find a place to hide, that there aren't transients at)
