How wonderful to see reduced taxes causing prices to decrease to consumers.

Toyota has significantly reduced the prices of some of its models in Argentina due to recent changes in internal taxes announced by the government.

This measure, which came into effect on February 1, 2025, has had a notable impact on the prices of mid-range and high-end vehicles.

The Ministry of Economy, led by Luis Caputo, announced the following modifications:

Elimination of the first scale of internal tax for vehicles with prices between 41 and 75 million pesos.

Reduction of the rate of the second scale from 35% to 18% for vehicles exceeding 75 million pesos.

The Toyota SW4, one of the brand's most popular models, has experienced a significant reduction in its price:

SW4 4X4 SRX 2.8 TDI: Dropped from 76,665,000 pesos to a range between 61,332,000 and 65,165,000 pesos.

SW4 4X4 Diamond II 2.8 TDI: Reduced from 77,061,000 pesos to a range between 61,648,000 and 65,502,000 pesos.

SW4 4X4 GR-Sport 2.8 TDI: Decreased from 80,879,000 pesos to a range between 64,703,000 and 68,747,000 pesos.

These reductions represent a decrease of approximately 15% to 20% in the prices of these models.

This price reduction is expected to stimulate demand in the Argentine automotive market. Minister Caputo stated that these tax changes aim to increase demand and make mid-range and high-end vehicles more accessible.

It's important to note that these price reductions do not affect the most economical models or pick-up trucks, which were not subject to this tax.

This is how it is supposed to work! We need to see more and more of this. We are paying too much in Argentina for many products.
