Transport Strike to paralyze Argentina in repudiation of taxation reforms - 2024

Confirmed the national strike this Thursday 09, this has never happened before, right? strikes and mobilizations every week.

Nope. But this is what the opposition thinks will keep away investors and Milei's government from accomplishing what those who voted for him want. They are wrong, of course, but they will keep trying.

This is pretty frustrating for people who have to go out to work every day, take public transportation, etc. It's causing a general sense of unease. Hopefully, things calm down because at this rate, we're going to end up in a bad place.

This Thursday, October 31, there will be a transportation strike as they demand better wages. I’m sharing the list of bus lines that will participate in the strike; it might be of interest or helpful to someone.

Saw these locals from cancelled flights. Damn. Flights get canceled here all the time. If people acted like this they would probably get arrested.

The streets are a mess, today, the subways and trains aren’t running, flights are grounded, and there’s no garbage collection. As if that weren’t enough, tomorrow there will be no buses either. It feels like a story that just keeps repeating itself.
Today I was around the Obelisk area and saw some protests, so all that’s left is to be patient.

Isn't it ironic that the union leaders organizing these strikes and protests, like the Moyanos, live in gated communities and pay rents of $5,500? It really contradicts the populist image they try to project, haha!

They boast about representing those who have less and the workers, but that's not true! A day like today, they only harm them with a strike that is purely political.

I haven’t heard anyone say they feel represented by these union leaders, who only harm the workers. Even the subway drivers wanted to work but weren’t allowed to. It’s honestly outrageous; as mentioned earlier, this strike is purely political and has nothing to do with protecting the most vulnerable.

In the meantime, the Moyano activists are making what they call here "Un alto guiso"

When Moyano is called out for being wealthy, he doesn’t know where to hide or what to say. These union leaders are the ones driving this country into poverty.

I can’t believe the massive cost of tomorrow’s strike, 500 million dollars. With fewer people moving around, there’ll be lower sales, less activity, and fewer workers able to get to their jobs, which means less productivity overall.

These union leaders, who supposedly represent the workers, also own a luxury yacht and a lavish home in a gated community. Instead of obstructing Milei's government, they should remain silent.
