What happens if Argentina gets too expensive? What are alternative cities/countries to move to when it's overpriced in Argentina?

Thank you. That is exactly what I was thinking. Things can't keep going up. The price increases seem unsustainable to me. My friends there all complain it go up each month. They have their savings in dollars so it very hard for them. Sell their savings to pay bills. Thanks for answering. I would...

What happens if Argentina gets too expensive? What are alternative cities/countries to move to when it's overpriced in Argentina?

Argentina does seem like it is in its own category. It would be stressful if I relocated there. The difficult thing is not knowing how things will be. I am impressed people like you Dave and @FuturoBA are relocating there. Do you guys worry about future cost of living? Or do you assume that it...

What happens if Argentina gets too expensive? What are alternative cities/countries to move to when it's overpriced in Argentina?

That sounds in theory true but do you understand all of this intervention by the government? The sterilization of the pesos? It is very complicated. The more people I talk to here the more tell me that Milei can't find a way around this mess. This economy has no internal market. The costs are...

Have you ever seen an Expat go completely insane?

I read that too about the lady that can't afford to pay her water bills. Insane. But this is someone that was on ther verge of homelessness if they stayed in the US. BA is much cheaper but it sounds like many people can't afford it here even before prices surged.

Crazy prices of lavandería! Is it just me?

I am not sure if it is only foreigners. My maid who is a local washes my stuff and she also said it went up to 7,000 pesos for a bag. I find that shocking for local standards but then again I find the cost of coffee here also high. I just came from Brazil where coffee is reasonable. I guess...

Milei to open Argentina's Nazi ratline archives, urged to reveal Holocaust records

I guess this it is ok to do this but what will it really accomplish or prove? Will it really help people with their suffering what happened so long ago???

What happens if Argentina gets too expensive? What are alternative cities/countries to move to when it's overpriced in Argentina?

I get that prices were unsustainable low but the prices on some things are so much more than neighboring countries. I just traveled in Brazil and prices are much lower than Argentina. I went to Colombia and Peru and also much lower. People on this board seem to be comparing things to the...

A coffee for $3.50: Argentina is the most expensive country in Latin America

Parilla Peña is always solid. How much is the ojo de bife these days there? Can't go wrong with Choripan. Great to hear all was good with the move. BA is a good walking city. Just use Google Maps. It works ok. https://moovit.com Is also a great app.

Argentina and the IMF: Can This Marriage Be Saved?

Wall Street Guru says Peso is very overvalued and needs to fall

All are saying peso is way way way overvalued. I don't understand how this will turn out good if the government is just artificially propping up the peso. Won't there be an eventual devaluation? Maybe Argentines are benefitting now but won't it be worse in the future? I am having a hard time...
