Newcomer A Large Percentage of Argentinians Want to Be Digital Nomads: A Growing Trend!

With the new dollar rate in Argentina now Colombia is cheaper in most areas and tax-friendlier. For example I'm travelling to Europe in a couple of months and the tickets are half price compared to Argentina. Food is now cheaper or about the same, clothing and technology much cheaper. None of...

Newcomer A Large Percentage of Argentinians Want to Be Digital Nomads: A Growing Trend!

Bogotá, I like the weather (not a fan of hot summers) groceries shops are much better (Carulla, Exito, etc) and I like the fact that it's near everything and is cheaper to fly compared to Argentina. I don't like the traffic, the city is not a walkable at all so I miss BA's walkability and...

Newcomer Have you ever felt discriminated against or treated unfairly just because you're a foreigner or tourist in Buenos Aires?

This looks like a left-wing pro-woke movement. I wouldn't be surprised if it's organized by some bigger entity.

Newcomer A Large Percentage of Argentinians Want to Be Digital Nomads: A Growing Trend!

It depends on each one's personality, life goals, etc. Personally it was great for a while earning US$ in Argentina but when it comes to make medium / small investments like buying a car or a house it's really troublesome since it's almost impossible to get money from abroad legally. Now I'm in...

Newcomer A Large Percentage of Argentinians Want to Be Digital Nomads: A Growing Trend!

There are a lot of software developers, graphic designers, recruiters among other professions that work remotely for US companies. I'm one of those doing it since 2015 and I'm a sort of slow-digital-nomad. I have colleagues that got digital nomad visas from Europe, another one went to live to...

Argentina Unveiled Mandatory Registry For Bitcoin And Crypto Platforms

Specially because is not a currency and is not owned by any goverment or banking entity: it's a sovereign store of value so having goverments telling people to declare bitcoin could be considered a violation of human rights. This really pisses governments and banking corporations a lot XD.

What is the best Steak to order in Argentine restaurant?

I would recommend something like this: The Asado Experience Looks like they know that they are doing, and the experience of a real asado in someone's house is so much better than eating a single meat cut in a restaurant pay the check and go... is that homey feeling, the smell of the firewood...

What is the best Steak to order in Argentine restaurant?

Yeah, I went to a very popular bodegon called "Parrilla Pena" a month ago and it was overpriced and the bife de chorizo was really bad. The thing with meat is that it needs to be slowly cooked and these overcrowded bodegones tend to cook things fast.

Food & Drink Pizza Restaurants in Buenos Aires - What are some of your favorite pizza places in Buenos Aires, Argentina?

"Pizza in Argentina, though, although it shared common roots with pizza in Italy (and later in the US), quickly diverged for two main reasons. First, plentiful cheese allowed for richer pizzas. Agustin Banchero, a Genoese who opened a bakery in 1893, reminisced that in Genoa food was so tight...

What is the best Steak to order in Argentine restaurant?

As I mentioned in the previous comment, better to cook it yourself or make friends with someone who knows how to make a good asado. 'Bodegones' are tricky, (I heard that one called 'El Ferroviario' is good) but that doesn't mean that the quality of meat in Argentina got worse, you can get...
